I have been a perpetual traveler and finally decided to call the Bay area my home. There's too many interesting things happening out here so every weekend you'll find me trekking all over hell and back to find whatever interesting band, show, or party is going on. The wine tasting, hiking, kayaking and beaches all get me out and about too. Unfortunately, all my silicon valley friends are stable suburbanites so what I really need to find is a partner in crime ;) .
I moved back to the states from France a couple of years ago to get a job in Silicon Valley but it was a bit too quiet for me. I write software (surprise, surprise!) but I swear I'm not at all the stereotypical computer nerd. I am passionate about so many things and never have enough time for all of them - I play guitar (a ton! I'm going to release a solo album soon), soccer, basketball, billiards, am into reading, writing, and I actually majored in studio art (drawing/painting) as an undergrad. I run a podcast with a friend for fun - nothing too serious but its cool to think we can corrupt people all over the world! lol. I like to work out and find that the gym is a great stress reliever at the end of the day. Of course, there's no way I can completely describe myself in a couple of paragraphs so feel free to ask me whatever you'd like.
I'm at a point in my life where I just want to meet one fantastic woman and take it from there.. is that too much to ask? I have to have a base level of attraction but I am really attracted to intelligence and personality... for me a relationship without good conversation just isn't worth having. Also great if you have class and a bit of style ;) . But really, the details aren't important if you find somebody who makes you happy so drop me a line and let's find out if we hit it off.
Update!:: How weird... some people have been stealing pieces of my profile and using it as their own. I've seen it on 2 other profiles now. What's up with that?
Tom Wolfe - A Man in Full, David Foster Wallace - Infinite Jest, Pynchon - Gravity's Rainbow, Geek Love, The Naked and the Dead, anything by Dave Eggers or Michael Chabon, On Quaternions, monthly : men's health and scientific american
I don't have a TV but I do occasionally watch shows on my laptop. Current faves: Mr.Robot, Walking Dead, Treme, Justified, Foyle's War,
SF is such an amazing place for concerts! On the weekend, I'm likely at the SF Jazz, Ruby Skye, the Warfield or Yoshi's. I play guitar (solo fingerstyle but lately lots of blues and jazz too) so I am always searching out crazy independent guitarists who nobody has ever heard of but me.
