My self-summary
Good is better than perfect.

(Lyric from a Regina Spektor song).
What I’m doing with my life
Keeping active; looking for new adventures.
I’m really good at
Cooking omelettes.
Word games such as crosswords, cryptoquiz and Scrabble.
I like doing triathlons and am good at swimming, decent at biking, and manage to get through the running portion. (But I'm not looking for a training partner here.)
Kayak tripping, camping. Would like to try one of the new 'urban adventure races' that take place in Toronto during the summer.
The first things people usually notice about me
Default expression appears serious but I'm quick to smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Current reading list: The Botany of Desire by Michael Pollan; Eat & Run by Scott Jurek; Writing Gordon Lightfoot, by Dave Bidini.
Movies: Should I list them in alphabetical order, by genre, or by director...
TV Shows this year: Once Upon A Time, Homeland, The Good Wife, Breaking Bad, Louie, Fringe.
Music: Wide range, from Television and The Clash to Joanna Newsom and Storm Corrosion.
Food: Generally keep to a plant based whole food diet.
The six things I could never do without
Family and friends are a given so I will list:
Running gear (which includes shoes, Garmin, water bottle, various items for layering up)
...that's about it, what can I say I'm a simple man. Other needed things are context or event-dependent.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The ultimate answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.
On a typical Friday night I am
Catching up on the previous week's tv shows and crossword puzzles.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes it seems like I'm the world's oldest teenager.
You should message me if
you are looking for
-an activity partner
-long term relationship.
It would be nice to exchange some emails and then meet for a coffee.
