My self-summary
Greetings folks!
Back in California after completing my masters in Celtic and Viking Archaeology at the University of Glasgow and spending some time in New York. I love traveling, living in new places and meeting new people; I want to see as much of the world as I can.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am finishing up applications for PhD programs studying Celtic Studies. Plan on researching instances of same-sex relations in Early Medieval Irish literary and legal texts. Otherwise I am interested in the languages and archaeology of the British Isles and Scandinavia; absolutely love it!

Currently teaching myself Norwegian while I continue to practice my other languages.
I’m really good at
Languages, I love learning new languages (currently working on Old Irish and Norwegian).

Spouting off random nonsense and somehow tying it back into the discussion. A skill learned from many eccentric professors.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes. I have had many strangers come up to me to comment on them. Normally in the most awkward way they can think of it seems, but that just makes it more interesting.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: American Gods, Harry Potter Series, The Handmaid's Tale, Brave New World, The Giver, Huck Finn, Grapes of Wrath, Lord of the Rings, The Book of Lost Things, and so many more.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Emperor's New Groove, The Boys in the Band, Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Milk, Hook, Anastasia, The Wind that Shakes the Barley. I just really enjoy movies.

Shows: Pushing Daisies, Arrested Development, Friends, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica

Music: Walk the Moon, Sigur Rós, Sugarland, Dolly Parton, Zac Brown Band, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Robyn

Food: Burger and Fries are the perfect food. I love Thai, Ethiopian, German, British, Chinese, Japanese, French, American, Italian... Really I will at least try anything once.
Six things I could never do without
My Phone (as much as I am loathe to say that)
Rain (One of my favourite things about living in Scotland)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I next want to travel and how I can best go about learning certain languages.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hopefully I am out with friends or at a friends place doing any number of things.
You should message me if
If you want to chat, grab some coffee, a drink, steal a dragon and go raiding. Love meeting new people and seeing where things go!
