My self-summary
IT is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a woman to play board games with. Or something like that.

California boy wondering why everyone in Seattle feels the need to complain any time it gets above 80F. It's allowed to be hot in the summer.

I do manly things like drive stick, shave, program games, have been known to play hockey and drink beer, and if you believe the rumors, snuggle with kittens. I enjoy dry, subtle humor, but I find that communicates best with people I already know, so let me know what you think.
What I’m doing with my life
Nerdy stuff generally. I try to find a healthy mix of hiking, camping, theater, sleep, cuddling, and reading.

I bought a bike at the beginning of summer and it has been amazing riding to work every day. I've been skeptical about riding in the rain, but it's now pitch black before I'd get home which is just as worrying.
I’m really good at
Reading a book while walking to work. Making the one person sitting next to me at a party laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Let's talk about what I've read recently:

* The Princess Bride - Fantastic, the movie is a perfect adaptation
* The Gunslinger - I really didn't care for this. Why do people like Stephen King?
* The Boys In The Boat - Interesting historical book that took place in Seattle! Was very cool to read about places I've been.

And then I suppose some favorites are in order

The Name of the Wind, Ender's Game, Snow Crash, A Song of Ice and Fire, Pride and Prejudice, Old Man's War, Starship Troopers, The Chosen, The Martian, Dresden Files

I enjoy watching TED talks, nature documentaries, and cheesy movies about honor (Gladiator, Dances with Wolves, The Last Samurai).

Reading interesting articles about human behavior is a hobby of mine, but after reading (or even before), I have to send it to a friend for discussion. When intellectually stimulating material is not available, pictures of cats suffice.
Six things I could never do without
Bullet Lists
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever my latest interest is: personality types, the latest book I'm reading, game design, how to convince my friends to join me in various endeavors.

How to make my introverted hobbies sound interesting to other people.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hosting a BBQ, hanging out with friends playing boardgames and drinking good beer. Or you know, hanging out at home recharging.
You should message me if
You're looking for an equal to share life with.

You are looking to chat with people and then meet. We'll never know if we're arch-enemies if we never meet right?

If you can handle some serious rainy-day tv-watching or working on a puzzle.

Or you're familiar with MBTI and are crazy enough to like INTJs.

You like where you are in life, but you think it would be more fun with someone next to you.
