Ok, first off my names not MaxSteiner, he's just a cool character from one of the worst books and computer games I've ever encountered. For some reason I've been using it for the past 10 years, don't ask me why - bonus points if you know which ill fated 90's franchise, recently resurrected as a film with Ron Pearlman, he's is from!
Secondly, I'm mainly on here to recover some messages and get back to the exciting world of question answering - I'm not deadset against meeting someone, but I can't imagine I'm much fun in my current state (And if its not fun whats the point?).
I'm currently working for a growing company in swanky new offices, earning more than I'm used to and generally enjoying be a constructive member of society 😃
I've dedicated my life to avoiding commitment and responsibility and though justifiably proud of my many outstanding achievements and accolades in this field, I'm now 33 and think I may just have to accept its time to move on.
I've been told that I'm quite nice, people seem to think I'm funny and I'd walk through hell or high water for the people important to me - so you see there are some benefits to knowing me!
As to the other things, well feel free to ask or take a look at my answers to profile questions, I've been told you can get a disturbingly accurate view of my mind from the explanations given (not sure if that's good or not...)
I am archaically honorable, king of the geeks, and a former radical free thinker now fallen into ruin
I've recently gone through a few major changes and I'm actively looking to make more!
Thinking about it my last partner was quite vocal that I'm awesome at something else too :P
That I should probably eat more.
Darkness at Noon by Koestler.
- Always feel a bit gimpy saying this, because noone ever knows who he is, and trying to explain that they've never heard of one of the greatest writers of any generation or read one of the best books of all time just doesn't go down well....
The Night Land by William Hope Hodgson
- If I had to liken this to anything, it would be one of those eldritch tome's of lovecraft fame, that leave your mind shaken and your sanity shattered.
Set millions of years in the future, when the sun has burned out, and all that remains of humanity are the huddled millions in the final city of mankind.
When you consider this book was written 1912 it becomes all the more impressive for its scope and imagination.
Ghostbuster, Smokey and the Bandit - I know I should probably update my movie list, but these are the only two films I never have any hesitation in listing as my favourites :D
I really liked Scott Pilgrim recently, not sure if it can ever ascend to the heights of those other two films, but it was nice to see a film clearly aimed at me.
Le Tigre, simply because you can't ignore the energy behind most of their albums.... and shouty riot grrrrl music is just cute and funny.
MF DOOM (In various guises), The BEST rapper out there. I would infact lean towards artist as well.
'How can this be?' I hear the people exclaiming. Ok, let me put it this way. I listen to ALOT of music. And out of all the artist, DOOM is the only one who consistantly puts out albums I can listen to from track 1 all the way to the last track, without wanting to skip a single one.
Its like he's transported my MP3 to the time of vinyl, only Im not skipping tracks because they kick ass, not because I can't be bothered to mess with a stylus.
Electrocute Really liked their last album, and the new ones growing on me too! Compare this to New Young Pony Club who's first albums is one of my most played albums of all time, but whos second album is abolutely SHITE.
Um.... Pizza and fried breakfast I suppose.
The rambling, unsorted archive of facts, thoughts and memories on shuffle running through in my head.
The important people in my life, even (or perhaps especially) the ones I don't see anymore.
... and I guess draw rizla and tobacco some days :P
What costume I'm going to wear after the apocalypse.
Whether I'm already batting way ahead of the curve (and my level) by having met two people on here already :P
Oh or the fact I'm an ENTP - which pretty much unveils my deepest darkest secrets to you if you're willing to google it...
Or um... Part of the reason I dropped out of University was that, rather than studying, I decided to read every issue of Green Lantern from the 60's up until the appearance of Kyle Rayner in the 90's (who sucks cock, and killed the comic as far as I'm concerned).
I used to say I'm only on here for the tests, and that is mostly true, but it would be nice to speak with/meet with people too :)
