My self-summary
Hi there! My name is Tim.

I am a compulsive designer, a master of code, a creator of worlds, a compassionate lover, an encouraging dad, a loyal friend, a business owner, and a great guy.

Give me a chance to impress you!
What I’m doing with my life
I write medical billing and EMR software for a small company, which pays the bills.

I develop video games on the side - one of my games is even published on the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U (with a PS4 and PSP version coming soon!), and I've been known to dabble in a few other things, like writing.

I'm the parent of an awesome 9-year-old who, inspired by her old man, has been teaching herself coding, and has been working on her own game designs.
I’m really good at
Making things!

I'm always working on several different amazing projects.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm an avid book collector.
I own the complete Discworld Series by Terry Pratchett, who is my favorite author.
I also love Patrick Rothfuss's Kingkiller Chronicle, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, some non-fiction, like Neil deGrasse Tyson, and a lot more.

I like to watch a lot of movies and things. I end up watching a lot of YouTube and Netflix just because it's nice to have on in the background while I'm working on stuff.
I follow stuff like the Super Beard Bros, Yogscast, Hat Films, Game Grumps, Continue?, the Game/Film Theorists, and a bunch of 'brainy' stuff, like It's Okay To Be Smart, SciShow, Today I Found Out, etc.

I have a crazy taste in music, too: Electric Six, the Protomen, Mega Ran, Ninja Sex Party, Disasterpeace, and a lot of game soundtracks.

Oh, and I'm a huge fan of the good, good McElroy Brothers, and company, especially MBMBaM, the Adventure Zone, and Car Boys. 👋👋
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Game Development, honestly, and the community around it.

St Louis has a surprisingly large, and supportive community of game developers, and game development enthusiasts. I spend a lot of time going to Meetups, attending talks (and giving them), participating in Game Jams, working with the community to build awareness, and get more people interested in making games.
On a typical Friday night I am
Friday nights are probably one of my few nights in!

Catch me the rest of the week for Board Game night, collaborative coding night, GameDev Drinkups, Meetups, and whatever other fun stuff I can think up.
You should message me if
I am all about sharing a good time with someone I love. I want to go out of my way to offer new experiences, discussions, tastes, and ideas to someone who can reciprocate.

If this is something you might be interested in - and you think you can keep up! - get in touch! I want to hear from you!

Oh, and if you're concerned because I have a kid - don't be. If you liked any of what I had to say, you'll have no trouble with her - she's somehow even more likeable than I am ;)
