My self-summary
You're probably as tired of reading long, excessively detailed paragraphs about people as I am, so here's a nice bulleted list about me:

- Born in Alaska, moved to Florida in 4th grade, moved to Nashville the same year.
- Got my BS in molecular biology at UT-Chattanooga
- Got my MD from UT, did my internal medicine residency in Memphis (UT), and now I'm doing my infectious disease fellowship in the Twin Cities (UMinn)
- Love relief work, both here at home and abroad. Spent a month working in a rural hospital in Kenya during residency, planning on spending time in Uganda next year, and continue to work in public health here.
- Love traveling, and have already marked Canada, Italy, Kenya and Russia off of my list.
- Love playing tennis, playing guitar, going to concerts, and I always have some sort of music playing at home or work.

I think that about sums it up from a "summary" point of view. I'm an open book, so feel free to message me!
What I’m doing with my life
Working, working working, studying...and then getting out and exploring the fun things there are to do in the Twin Cities!
I’m really good at
Sarcasm, knowing useless trivia about random topics, tennis, playing guitar at a mediocre level
The first things people usually notice about me
Hm, the only thing I've been told someone has "noticed" about me right away are my eyes, I guess. Or my laugh.

Six things I could never do without
1. iPhone/iPad
2. Wifi
3. Someone to joke around with
4. Music
5. At least SOME of my books
6. A plan for surviving the zombie apocalypse. I mean, come on...what are you going to do without one when hell is full and the dead walk the earth? (Okay, admittedly, I just couldn't come up with a 6th).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How interesting physics would be if I wasn't so awful at math. Or how much longer I can procrastinate and still get 4 or 5 hours of sleep.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hm, depends on the month. I'm either hanging out with friends/watching a movie, or waiting for the pager to go off with a new patient to see.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I silently judge people who think they are "nerdy" because they bought black-framed glasses at whatever hipster-clothes-depot kids are going to lately. I worked hard for my nerdiness, damn it!
You should message me if
Well, I imagine you have your own criteria for whom you should or shouldn't message.
