My self-summary
Emotionally & financially independent and seeking the same. I think of myself as optimistic most of the time and really love where I am at this point in my life.

I sew and have been known to crochet up a scarf in a few hours flat. I love books and movies and have a good sense of humor. I'm the most quirky sane person you'll ever meet.

I have a thing for beards and tats. My hair color changes pretty regularly. Right now it's a bit of a rainbow.

I lead a healthy, active lifestyle, and would like to meet like-minded people who try to as well.
What I’m doing with my life
I used to work in the Research IT Department at the University of Miami, but have since left it to mold young minds. Substitute teaching at the moment while I put myself through (yet more!) school for art therapy.
I’m really good at
Crafts, baking, color memory, great sense of style, yoga, stellar penmanship, being cute, hugs, cuddles
The first things people usually notice about me
My glasses and sparkly brown eyes.

I like a little bit of everything to eat, mostly healthy during the week but I cheat on weekends. I love Asian food and I make a mean lentil burger.

I'm also a design geek. I love all things creative, art openings, museums, concerts, and broadway. I'm inspired by NPR, TED talks, This American Life, Radiolab, anything that gets my brain going in a good way. Currently having a love affair with color, although there may be some room for competition...
The six things I could never do without
Love. I can't imagine a life where I couldn't give and receive it. Also, my life would be greatly lacking without human connection- and so many people fail to take the advantage to connect and engage with their fellow humans!
Family and friends are very important to me as well. I guess I'd sorta die without chocolate, so that's #4. Seeing is good, so my glasses come in handy pretty often. And books help make life bearable. I only get 6, right?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When did it occur to someone to age, roast, soak, and grind a bean so that humans could function on less sleep?

Who exactly are "they" and who made them the authority on stuff?

Why racism still exists. Seriously, get over it.

Why yarn doesn't come already wound correctly. Then I wouldn't need your hands. But aren't you lucky that I do?
On a typical Friday night I am
Having dinner with friends, playing games (video, board), watching guilty pleasure TV and cuddles on the sofa if I'm really feeling social.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm in the habit of checking Craigslist missed connections from time to time. There's something romantic about trying to find someone you can't stop thinking about. I know, so corny! 😝
You should message me if
-You're an emotionally healthy human being. I like that a lot.

-The ability to at least fake being a grown-up sometimes but still be fun is a plus!

-If you're looking for casual sex, I am not. Please look elsewhere.

-If you simply want to, or you think we have lots in common. I'm always open to making new friends :)
