My self-summary
i play savion glover's understudy in the westchester broadway theatre version of 'bring in da noise, bring in da funk'. i do the voice over for stephen hawking in most of his east coast public appearances. i like to spell most words britishly, with the unnecessary 'u'. and i also co-wrote the lyrics to the second verse of the 'golden girls' theme song.
What I’m doing with my life
lying during introductory self-summaries.
I’m really good at
rodeo clowning. juggling. fake mustaching. spotting trains. misusing the word 'jaded'. misspelling the word 'douche' in emails. inadvertently calling people 'germanbag' in emails. coping with debilitating OCD. irrationally fearing people getting suddenly hit by buses in movies. heating up giant bowls of popcorn for devious purposes. watching 'real genius' to jot down ideas for using giant bowls of popcorn. playing soul crushingly bad golf. climbing walls (both metaphorical ones as well as ones covered in little multi-colored pieces of plastic). single speeding. not fixed gearing. citibiking. running until my body rebels. contemplating bikram. buttering. parentheses-ing. ellipses-ing. oxford comma-ing. eBuying and eSelling. making the least of a BU advertising degree. pokering and scrabbing away this week's grocery money. single-handedly inventing the word 'scrab' as the verb of 'scrabble'. boggling. trivial pursuing. risking. pretending i'm nyc hip when i'm only slightly westchester hip. gerunding. acronyming. anagraming. alliterating. unassumingly stealing books from unsuspecting friends' shelves to build my own impressive collection. doing the same thing with dvd's. netflixing. defending the intellectual validity of that ralph macchio classic 'the karate kid'. falling victim to classic blunders. getting involved in land wars in asia. going in against a sicilian when death is on the line.
The first things people usually notice about me
the bright white sparkle out of the corner of my mouth when i smile and the accompanying high pitched ding.

On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
i eat pasta with a spoon. i lack the flexibility to sit indian style. i've secretly switched your regular brand coffee with new folgers crystals. i'm not hawaiian. nor a dating-app-preferred caucasian male.

[7/4/2009: i'm not really sure what still accurately represents me on here and what doesn't... i'm currently in the midst of a drastic career change doing an accelerated 2nd degree BS in nursing in lower westchester until 2010, then hopefully a year of nyc hospital experience, and straight into an NP grad program... so, i'm always looking for more excuses to spend time in the city as i plan on living and working in manhattan after graduation... also, i still hate using capital letters and hope a recently deceased bea arthur isn't upset that i've been using her name in this profile irreverently since its inception.]

[9/30/2014: i've been living in nyc for a few months now, but am still working at a hospital in CT; reverse commuting is not as fun as they make it out to be on tv. in the middle of an nyc hospital search then NP grad program next year. it's all been worth it to be able to wear pajamas to work. however, the night shift schedule has unfortunately forced me to miss some amazingly gorgeous days. sleep, i hate you, but i love you... rest in peace, bea arthur.]

[1/1/2015: working stepdown in brooklyn, living in manhattan, grad schooling this fall. currently in the market for a good coffee table. bea arthur, just because.]

[4/13/2015: found a coffee table.]

[8/31/2015: working MICU in manhattan, living in manhattan. searching for pretty stuff to hang on my barren walls. oh, and a sturdy book shelf.]
