My self-summary
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan, but moved to Germany with my family because of my father's work. I would certainly say that growing up and being educated in Germany has formed me more than my Asian heritage, for better and worse. Despite that I never felt at home there, that's why I'm trying to find my place in Taiwan now. I'm very shy, introverted and don't open up easily. If you can look past all that and get to know me, I hope we can become good friends or more.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to find where I belong.
I’m really good at
I'm certainly nowhere "up there" but I do enjoy playing squash, rock-climbing, photography, playing board and computer games.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm "cold"; I don't usually openly show my emotions, or rather, I'm good at suppressing them. Where most people would laugh out loud about something, I will most likely only break a chuckle. That doesn't mean that I don't find things as funny as other people, it's just how I express my emotions. Because of this I am often misunderstood.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Just started watching "Breaking Bad". Shows watched before: "Heroes", "24", "Stargate", "Star Trek", and more I don't quite remember now.
Enjoy watching/reading (translated) Japanese anime/manga.
Enjoy watching most types of movies except for Asian Ghost movies (kinda boring).
Enjoy listening to most types of music except for pure Techno.
Not at all into books, though I do read science / nature / news / interesting articles on the web.
Six things I could never do without
Health, loved ones, friends, leisure time, chocolate sweets, internet access.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
what I should eat for my next meal when I am alone.
On a typical Friday night I am
probably at home watching a movie/playing computer games unless I have an opportunity to go eat/hang out with my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I joined OkCupid because a friend recommended it to me.
You should message me if
you want to get to know the person beneath the cold shell.
