My self-summary
I'm pretty fun, confident, kind hearted, not basic, ambitious, sarcastic, independent, and good company. I live to laugh, work hard, enjoy life and take in every second of my day. Brand new in town and have basically no clue yet.

Originally from L.A. but moved to NOLA from San Francisco.
What I’m doing with my life
Starting again somewhere new without any bridges to burn. I'm a lucky man

Making new friends, staying out way too late, waking up way too early, recipe testing, feeding ducks, chasing busses that I've missed, gardening, drinks and making delicious things. Pouring through my pages of my notes.

Also, figuring out where to go, where to eat and where to drink. Laugh away and bear with me while I mispronounce everything for a month or two.
I’m really good at
Being observant, conversating, listening, getting to know this city on foot, yardsale shopping, park time, guessing where the moon will be, driving, writing, baking, typos, drawing funny pictures of food. Knowing where that lamp should go. Milking any spare second of my life that I possibly can before I fall asleep. Not falling asleep.
The first things people usually notice about me
People like to touch my beard and I always smell good.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Jazz, hip hop, classic soul, 80's pop, King Khan, Grimes, Os Mutantes, Best Coast and Amy Winehouse to name a few. Type in Beryl Booker into Pandora and be treated to the best old timey music ever.

I read all the things. Randomly bought a Bruno Schulz comp and it's pretty good. Train Dreams and The Martian were both good too. I read The Atlantic and The L.A. Times daily. Ursula Le Guin, Marquez and Murakami are standard favorites.

Documentaries and movies across the board. Tina Fey is a goddess. John Oliver & Samantha Bee. Also, George Costanza is one of the best tv characters of all time.

Sushi, ice cream and coconut-y things. Really good bread and cheese. Grapes, quince, cherries, peaches and guavas. Cucumbers with lime and salt. Pies, lemon desserts, cheeseburgers and thin crust pizza. I ultimately looking for someone who'd like to share one million oysters with me.
The six things I could never do without
My wits. My friends. My sisters. Japanese food. I could do without a lot of things. The world before the internet was still pretty neat.

Although, It would be tough to live a life without coffee or alcohol. Very, very tough.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How to spend my free time. Life, joy, love, loss, food, people, potential, Japanese culture, history, sex, nature, science, art, stupid puns, Katamari, serendipity, songs I like, people I like, alternate realities, memes that I can't help but laugh at, cosmic things and the universe in general.

How ancient Egyptians invented emojis and created their written language around it. They were crazy good texters.
On a typical Friday night I am
Anything goes. Sometimes I work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've played Rebecca Black's Friday as a joke so many times that I started to like it and now still listen to it on purpose sometimes.
