My self-summary
Holy crap! You're reading my profile. If only you knew what you were getting yourself into.

I'm a froody genderqueer androgynous dude who always knows where his towel is. I'm employed in the tech sector in what I'm told is a pretty heady and important field: database technology, albeit at the beginning of my career with the "junior" title and all. I attend Burning Man yearly and I try to travel internationally every few years or so.

I enjoy kitties, delicious alcoholic drinks, unicorns, long walks on the beach, romantic candlelit dinners and cliches.

I'm looking to meet queer nerdy folk of all types.
What I’m doing with my life
Working a lot. Also trying to get out more to see my friends who are spread out really far across this big, stupid city.
I’m really good at
I absorb useless facts and more-or-less have them on tap from then on. I also am fairly good at flow arts, specifically staff and sword, though I dabble in hoop, poi, and contact juggling.

If there's a talent I can legitimately lay claim to being "really good" at, it's probably cooking. Having gone vegetarian at an early age in an area with crappy dining options for vegetarians, I quickly learned how to make tasty foods from scratch. I can't bake worth a damn though, as that's more of a matter of chemistry that goes well beyond the most basic properties of raw ingredients.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair. It's usually blue, sometimes it's other colors, rarely my natural one.

My T-shirts. They often reference video games that came out in 1994 or earlier.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Everything Haruki Murakami. Lots of Kurt Vonnegut. My comfort novels are the Dune books, but I consider everything beyond Children of Dune to be an even greater heresy than casting Sting in the 1980s Dune movie. That's mostly it, as despite my favorites I'm usually reading one thing or another. You're welcome to ask me.

Comics: Sandman, Transmetropolitan, The Invisibles, 100 Bullets, Saga, God Hates Astronauts, Manhattan Projects, Lucifer, Sex Criminals, and Y: The Last Man

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Hobo With A Shotgun, My Neighbor Totoro, Akira Kurosawa's Dreams, The City of Lost Children, Waking Life, The Fountain, Oldboy(original), The Big Lebowski, The Hudsucker Proxy, Groundhog Day, Anchorman, Dredd, and Tokyo Gore Police.

Shows: Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: TNG, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, Cowboy Bebop, and Parks and Recreation

Music: A lot of stuff. As in, quite possibly a fuck-ton. Lately it's mostly really funky, glitchy, mid-tempo EDM or folksy/bluegrass type stuff.

Food: Vegetarian things. Curry, tacos, burritos, basic steamed and/or roasted veggies, fried over-easy eggs, vegemite, bulgarian feta, borscht, rye toast. You get the idea. Lots of stuff.

Beverages: Cold brewed coffee.
The six things I could never do without
My cat - Technically not a "thing" but a "being", but she's not people, dig?

Macbook Air - It's my DJ rig, I play most of my video games on it, and I'm using it for OKCupid.

Note Pro 12 - I read comics on it. Also non-graphic books sometimes.

Galaxy Gear and Note 4

Video games - I play these a lot. Less now that I'm an adult, but they remain my primary source of entertainment. Mostly retro games, indie games, and anything Nintendo, though.

Food - Literally in the sense that without nutrients I'd waste away and that would kind of suck, and figuratively in that this is the way in which I feel most comfortable in expressing myself and showing affection for others by preparing foods that they enjoy.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Do I survive because of my inability to take most things seriously, or in spite of it?

Do 1/4" audio adapters have the magical property of never being around when you need one right that second?

When will Senpai notice me?
On a typical Friday night I am
Fauxhawk fridays. Why the flying faux not?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am, despite my best efforts, a nonfictional entity in control of a physical body that has mass and occupies three-dimensional space, and even more embarrassing, I move forward through time in a more-or-less linear fashion.

I don't really smoke cigarettes, but I do vaporize nicotine pretty frequently. I don't know where that falls on the hierarchy of filthy habits, because it doesn't make me short of breath or smell like an ashtray, but maybe if my device's tank cracks I might smell like earl grey tea or mangoes or something.

I don't have a car. I know this is a dealbreaker for a lot of people, but since getting rid of my car and walking/taking Metro/occasional Uber-ing everywhere I became a happier, healthier person.

I'm pretty boring 51 weeks out of the year. True story. I might be able to swing around a sword made of fire like some kind of primordial jedi, but fuck you, I like shows and video games and sleep.
You should message me if
If anything here intrigues you and you would like to contact me for whatever reason. I won't stop you.

If you're shy. Me too.

If you want to meet me at pillow fight club(I'm pretty sure I made that up but it sounds cool, let's not talk about it).

If you want to exchange Nintendo friend codes or Steam usernames and play something. I'm especially looking for people with WiiUs for Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, and SSB action.

I'd also like to find people who play pen and paper RPGs, as this is a new interest of mine. Especially if it's Shadowrun 5th Edition.

If you have music recommendations. Despite my sparse list, I try to eat a highly diverse musical diet.
