My self-summary
I prefer coffee and walks, to beer and parties. Landscapes and exploration, movement, ideas... What? oh, yeah.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm hollowing out a section of reality, and leaving the space for others in my wake, the rest of the time I'm sleeping. AND, I'm a Botanist/ecologist who likes chemistry and working outside. I'm still thinking about Grad School and other options.
I’m really good at
Actually this is really hard, I feel like a jack of all trades, good at many things: Identifying plants and animals, growing plants, mechanical things, standing on my hands (with my feet in the air), artsy stuff, but there are masters! I believe in practice over talent, that it's all about time and focus.
The first things people usually notice about me
My stunning good looks which resemble a balding liberal outdoorsy person.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
One River, Michigan Flora, Windup Bird Chronicles. Doctor Who, Spaced, Firefly, The Daily Show. NPR. Radiohead, Ladytron, OOIOO, Miles Davis, Dead Prez. Sushi, Falafel, red Peppers, Green Peas, Asparagus, Spinach lasagna, Tomatoes, Garlic, Cheese.
The six things I could never do without
Warmth, cleverness, endurance, patience, and math.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Going someplace beautiful, biking, photography. The hidden costs of energy, economics, and doing something to help. The sky. My friends.

I consider everything I can get my mind around but there is a huge difference between trying to understand something and being willing to do something. Many of the questions on this site use "consider" as if it means "would you ever actually do x?" I'm annoyed by this.
On a typical Friday night I am
Anticipating going to work the next day.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't think I know anyone who hates to laugh.
You should message me if
You can put up with long sighs when you ask whether the Virginia creeper you're looking at is Poison Oak. Or: You know plurals don't need apostrophes.
