My self-summary
Would it surprise you that I am not originally from Atlanta? I think that if you are originally from Atlanta you're a unicorn. I was born in the mid-west and moved around a lot growing up, including a 5-year stint in England (I cannot do the accent - don't ask). I identify with the mid-western values and sometimes find southern hospitality to be a bit elusive? Even as an adult I've been a little bit of a roamer, spending time in the Philly area for a few years, and then Chapel Hill NC for grad-school before coming down to Atlanta. But, bottom line - I really like it here and I think I want to stay in one place for awhile :).

I am intensely loyal, a good friend, a devil's advocate, easy to laugh, a terrible multi-tasker, advocate of animals, a poor French-speaker, a crier in movies, a kitchen experimenter, and a piano tinkerer, great planner professionally and terrible planner personally. I am cursed with a long attention span and often feel different from my millenial peers. I avoid facebook, and am intrigued by twitter. I was tomboy as a little girl. I prefer beer over wine. I am obsessed with lists.

I'm looking to find a man who is educated and fun, who is outgoing like me, and sees life as an adventure.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently started a new job at my current company and really enjoying it. Enjoying my new rescue puppy, Bean. Thinking about my next adventure...
I’m really good at
I'm good at laughing at myself.
The first things people usually notice about me
My one dimple on my right cheek... (its actually a scar, but everyone thinks its a dimple, how lucky! You can ask me how I got it when we meet.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: I love zombie movies, and I have no idea where that came from ...28 Days Later, ZombieLand, Shaun of the Dead, the original Night of the Living Dead. I like a lot of movies, just ask me. Although I have a REALLY hard time when animals die in movies (as in the story line) - I usually cry like a baby for the rest of the movie.
Music: Everything except for house music. Even country is making some inroads lately, although my brother would not be happy to know that...
Books: Love historical fiction, mysteries, French literature (check my undergraduate major - French), non-fiction... Vonnegut spoke at one of my graduations...amazing!
Food: I love mexican and my best friend and I have a standing margarita date. I will try just about anything, and I've tried to make everything as well, with mixed results...
Six things I could never do without
1. My piano: Best way to forget about the day is to sit and play music for an hour
2. My mother's recipe book, and my oven
3. My bike / running shoes / swim suit / tennis racquet / hiking boots / jump rope: for all the things I like to do to work out
4. My iPhone, for constant distractions and staying in touch with friends and familiy
5. Color on my walls
6. Dogs: there are a few in my extended family and of course my own and they all have hilarious personalities. I love them all.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I would do if I were the character in that horror movie (NOT run up the stairs, obviously!)... What's for dinner....What it was like before there were humans on the earth...When was the last time my dog went out....What would happen if the power went out for a really long time...what I really want to be doing in 10 years... work... lots of stuff
On a typical Friday night I am
Hitting the neighborhood bar after work. Plans always develop from there...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I still enjoy cartoons, and shark week, and dinosaur documentaries... ha!
You should message me if
You're seriously looking and can make me laugh...
