My self-summary
Single (never married) serial entrepreneur who’s recently discovered this work/life balance thing I’ve heard so much about...

I spent my early years as a globetrotting photographer. I’ve been to the Great Wall of China, sailed from Miami to Cartagena on a 125', two-masted schooner, and visited more than a dozen European countries. Recently, I completed my tour of all 50 states. Travel and adventure are passions of mine, and I plan to do much more of both.
What I’m doing with my life
Now a part-time Indiana Jones, I'm trying to balance work with adventure.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh; it's simply one of the best feelings in the world. As such, my sense of humor can be self-deprecating, and I don't take myself too seriously.

Also, math and physics; one's easy, the other is interesting.
The first things people usually notice about me
My extra dry sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've just started reading Georges Perec's "A Void" -- a novel written entirely without using the letter "e." What an accomplishment! (Doubt I could do that for a paragraph...)

The literary holy troika consists of Oscar Wilde, Tom Wolfe, and Hunter S. Thompson; all were master storytellers. Honorable mention goes to Tom Robbins and "A Confederacy of Dunces.”

Live or recorded music, from acid house to zydeco, there's a time and a place for everything.

Food? Although I enjoy cooking, I wouldn't want to risk it with sushi.
Six things I could never do without
1. Camera, pen and paper
2. Sense of humor; laughter
3. Friends & family
4. The great outdoors
5. Creative outlets; personal/professional challenges
6. The arts
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Killer Scrabble words, my next road trip, snowboarding in Vancouver, going back to Hawaii.

How I can make the world a better place, if even only for one person at a time.
On a typical Friday night I am
Either at a gallery opening or art show, dinner party or catching up with friends over drinks. Maybe seeing a play or live music... Depends on what's happening around town.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I think it's more important that a person has ambition, dreams, and a sense of adventure and wonderment than whether we like the same movies or music. After all, if James Carville and Mary Matalin can make it work, the common ground must be more important than the differences, no?
You should message me if
If your sense of adventure is matched by your sense of humor, and you can have fun despite things not always going as planned.
