I like to think that I'm a passionate person and I'm always down for an adventure, especially in the mountains. Hiking and being outside are big parts of my life so I'm sure it's no surprise that I'm also into snowboarding and snowshoeing. I love the sense of freedom associated with leaving everything behind and driving off into the wilderness. I've explored most of Canada and the United States but sometimes I feel like there are still a million things to do and see.
I love landscape photography, but not so much so that it takes away from the experience of a breathtaking hike.
Music is also an important passion of mine. I like to sing, play guitar, and I kind of know my way around a keyboard. I used to be in a band, but I'm not that cool anymore.
I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and when I'm done with the Navy, I want to pursue something related to my degree or go back to school for a Master's degree.
I like to travel whenever I can and keep myself busy with different projects and hobbies. I've been in Washington for three years and I feel like I'm finally starting to settle in, which is really a comforting feeling.
In terms but music, I listen to a lot of metal/hardrock (not screaming!), rock, alternative, electronic, and classical. When it comes to live music, I'll listen to everything. I prefer going to local shows over big name band shows and a few of my favorite bands are Staind, Stone Sour, Dream Theater, Linkin Park, Maroon 5, and Black Mill.
I don't really watch movies or TV and my friends are always making fun of me because I don't understand a lot of pop culture references. That's not to say that I've never watched a movie, but it's not something that I actively pursue. My favorite movie series is the Matrix though and I definitely enjoy comedy shows.
