Things I like: stupid jokes, intelligent discussion, smiling at good art, laughing at bad art, fancy food, shitty food, keeping up, and cautious optimism.
Also trying to become a better guitar player / slowly approaching the threshold at which recording/performing would elicit some genuine satisfaction.
Here are some great, totally edifying movies that I like:
Solaris, Ran, The Warriors, Alien(s), The Virgin Spring, Le Samourai, Apocalypse Now, Brazil, Songs From the Second Floor, Veronika Voss, L'Age D'Or, Nashville, Holy Mountain, Being There, In the Mood For Love, Once Upon a Time in the West, Blade Runner, Network, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, 2001, L'Eclisse, The Ruling Class, A Woman Under the Influence, Koyaanisqatsi, anything by Billy Wilder, von Trier, the Coens.
And the trash (usually enjoyed with friends, beers): campy 70's horror, cheesy 80's action, 90's cyberpunk scifi, (s)EXPLOITATION. Also bizarre/sublime Japanese anything.
