My self-summary
I work 2 full time jobs. One pays me, the other doesn't. I am an assistant conductor for Amtrak and a wolf advocate. I enjoy dark themes and love animals. I adore castles (ruins in particular,) dilapidated buildings, cemeteries, mythology, history, nature, forests, lakes, mountains, etc.
What I’m doing with my life
Work work work work work...
I am on call 24/7/365.
I’m really good at
being socially stupid.
The first things people usually notice about me
My size, likely.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: too many specific books to mention, so I'll list authors instead. Almost anything by Neil Gaiman, Edgar Allan Poe, H. P. Lovecraft, the Brontes, the Shelleys, Bram Stoker, Horace Walpole, Stephen King, Alice Borchardt, Dorothy Hearst, Lord Byron, Oscar Wilde, J. S. Le Fanu, Marquis de Sade, Jorge Luis Borges, (I think you see the general theme here, right?)

Movies: I am not ashamed to admit I love most animal movies (i.e. Homeward Bound, Iron Will, White Fang, Babe, Black Beauty, Old Yeller, etc.)
Conversely, I also enjoy most Tim Burton movies and Johnny Depp movies (and other people in that "circle.")
My favorite movie is The Princess Bride. Some other favorites include Legends of the Fall, Braveheart, Dragonheart, The Breakfast Club, Mists of Avalon, Reality Bites, LOTR trilogy, Harry Potter films, Harold and Maude, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Labyrinth, Pan's Labyrinth, Boondock Saints, Blood and Chocolate, The Shining, German Expressionist films (The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Nosferatu, etc.,) and the Roger Corman-directed Edgar Allan Poe/H.P. Lovecraft movies often starring Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, and Peter Lorre.

TV: I do not have a TV, as there is generally nothing of interest on there for me anymore. I loathe reality TV with a passion. However, there are a few shows that I make it a point to try and watch online or by buying the DVDs. Namely: The Big Bang Theory, Merlin, Game of Thrones, Whose Line Is It Anyway?, Daria, The Simpsons, Family Guy, and to a lesser extent, South Park. Other than that, it would usually be a metaphysical show or history documentary.

Music: Oh, where to begin? My musical preferences are generally in the goth, ebm, industrial, shoegaze, and some metal. Some examples of some of my favorite bands include: Clan of Xymox, Bauhaus/Peter Murphy/Tones on Tail, Siouxsie and the Banshees, (old) The Cure, (old) U2, Nine Inch Nails, Type O Negative, The Dresden Dolls/Amanda Palmer, The Sisters of Mercy, Rosetta Stone, VNV Nation, Skinny Puppy, Rammstein, :wumpscut:, Project Pitchfork, Unheilig, Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac, Dead Can Dance, (old) Cradle of Filth, etc.

Food: I can't eat spicy food. Sorry. I generally stick with typical American, Mexican, Italian, and Chinese cuisine.
The six things I could never do without
Aside from the obvious things like oxygen, shelter, food, and so on:
- my car (I have been without it, but I love the freedom it gives me)
- internet (I have been without internet/computers for long periods of time as well, but most people are addicted to it now)
- music/instruments
- good books
- pets
- privacy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future and career. Where I am going to move to and visit in my life. I think a lot about how my wolf activism can be more successful.
On a typical Friday night I am
Likely working...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm pretty damn sure I'm nonsexual. I suppose they call that "asexual" now but I always hated that terminology due to the fact that I do not reproduce by myself. (Thank goodness!)
You should message me if
I haven't scared you away yet...

Also, please do not just message me with something so lame and impersonal as a mere "hi" or an obvious copy-and-paste message. If you write something of some personal value and that shows that you actually *read* my profile, then I will almost always respond back.
