Most of the hours in a day are spent on work and procrastination but I also enjoy time spent with my Team doing sports.
While reading is an enjoyable past time, I am also a big fan of movies. When it comes to movies and shows, my taste is somewhat mainstream.... or Hollywoodish. But it goes from coast to coast when it comes to different genres. I pamper myself with raunchy comedies, action flicks, dramas, thrillers, musicals, romantic movies... as long as its not too artsy. Some of my favorites (from different generes) are: The Notebook, Requiem for a Dream & The Blind Side. From international movies I would like to point out Battle Royale and Брат I (Brat/Brother) & Брат II.
I was considering leaving this as my dark secret, but put it out there: a god musical is something I really enjoy. Even as a kid I couldnt get enough of West Side Story and Grease II. Also appreciate the Sound of Music, Phantom of the Opera (with Emmy Rossum) & Grease I. Seeing the Broadway musical Cats live is also a memory I cherish.
When it comes to tv-productions I tend to favor even lighter viewings. For example; HIMYM & Big Bang Theory. I also like Suits and White Collar. I guess it goes without saying that HBO has produced some excellent stuff, AGoT and Sons of Anarchy if one must cherry pick.
Music is a tough one. I cant say that I listen to music a lot (more recently though), but I do enjoy to have something nice on the background. Some of the bands I favor are Disturbed, Queen, Guns & Roses, Volbeat, Breaking Benjamin, Poets of the Fall and Muse. When it comes to concerts and other events; its more about the company than the event itself. Meaning theres not an artist who's show I would go see alone, but in the right company/with the right person I can get a kick out of Lady Gaga.
Dream Theater: Metropolis pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory is something I am still impressed with.
When it comes to food I'm easy going. Picking out a specific favorite is hard and I definitely like to try out new stuff also. I like everything from Sushi to traditional Ukrainian cousine. Also like cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. I know my way with a stove, although I am no master chef.
Phone is nice, laptop is convenient, MB takes me to places, Tv + Netflix is a time sink when my brain needs a rest, books are a good way to improve ones self/relax and Spotify keeps my options open.
ps. My friends aren't, and hope my significant other wont be, "a thing"
In addition to pondering on the past, I also thinking about the future a lot. Even though no plan will survive execution, I am a firm believer in having a strategy. Thats what I am also working on currently. Trying to figure out what it really is that I want, if I should continue my studies and/or do some other drastic thing.
But in general I am quite willing to talk about private and sensitive matters in the right forum. I am open with most of my experiences and by default not too ashamed of my mistakes.
To give away something, I am just godawful in smalltalk...
