My self-summary
I'm a relaxed guy who enjoys a good laugh. I have a soft spot for animals and nature in general. I prefer the comfort of my own home to the stressfulness of clubs and similar places. I prefer socializing with a few people at a time, so I guess that makes me an introvert (but I'm comfortable with that).
I also lack a sense of smell because of a minor medical condition, it has it's pros and cons. :P
I have a cat, but I grew up with dogs so I don't have a personal preference.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to live through the day working as a web admin / developer / photographer at a company in Stockholm. Wasting most of my spare time on the Internet. In the summers I enjoy swimming and in the winter I go ice skating, I love water, both solid and liquid. I also like hiking and similar outdoor adventures.
I’m really good at
I'd like to think I'm a decent photographer. I'm also pretty tech savvy. I also suck up useless trivia like a sponge. I've been called a living Wikipedia and I tend to gather a lot of knowledge about different subjects. I'm very curious and I love knowing stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm usually pretty quiet but I do laugh a lot, or make other people laugh. I silently observe and I prefer speaking when I have something to say and not for the sake of speaking. All pretty standard introvert traits.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Wow, this is a hard one. I enjoyed reading Tolkien and Lovecraft, but also some pop literature like Dan Brown and Stieg Larsson. So mostly fantasy/horror/mystery/thriller. Pretty much describes my taste in movies as well, and TV shows.
I don't have a TV, but I do enjoy a few shows, both running, cancelled and finished:
24, Dexter, Doctor Who, Family Guy, Futurama, Grotesco, Heroes, Lost, South Park, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc.
I watch a lot of movies and I'm not that picky (after watching a lot of B-grade horror, you kinda loosen up ;)). If you're interested in my movie taste my page on Filmtipset should give you a pretty accurate picture:
Six things I could never do without
I could probably do without a lot of things I think I need, but the stuff that I long for the most when I'm away from home for a few days are my computer, my home theater, my cats and my privacy. I would probably go nuts without the Internet in my pocket as well, so my phone is always with me.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, the Universe and Everything.
I think a lot. About the world in general, about space, time and reality as we perceive it and also as we don't perceive it. I like thinking about higher dimensions and giving myself a headache by trying to visualize them.
I think about the futility of human life, that in a million years there will probably be no trace of us ever existing. Either from our own doing or some cataclysmic event, like when the sun expands to a red giant consuming the earth. I end up asking myself if anything I do actually matters, if anything anyone does actually matters. And in this perspective; no, it doesn't.
So I try to live my life with this in mind, it's pretty nihilistic but that doesn't mean I go around being an asshole to everyone, I just don't take things very seriously. So I guess I'm an existentialist. I actually think one of the mistakes people do is taking things - and especially themselves - too seriously. To quote the Comedian: "It's all a joke."
We are born from stardust and we will end up as stardust, so why worry?

Also, I can ramble a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching movies, or playing games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a pretty shy guy and I'm tired of being so socially awkward. I'm also an ASMR junkie.
You should message me if
You like movies and gaming or outdoor activities as much as I do. Being able to share my greatest hobbies with someone else would be awesome.
