My self-summary
Intelligent, passionate, always compassionate. I live well, look after myself, and I'm able to tackle the tough stuff that life throws, while being well up for a good time - usually involving some live music and a dance. A few wines, a good conversation and a carry on are some of my favourite things.
What I’m doing with my life
Working in a job I love. It took me a long time to work out what I wanted to be when I grow up, and now that I have, I am really happy with it. Having a good job that brings some bank is actually pretty damn ace. I'm pretty ambitious which means I'm always looking for a challenge and love learning anything new.
I’m really good at
I'm very good at looking like I'm thinking really hard while I'm actually just googling vague terms.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music! Love it and live for it, would really love to meet a gig buddy and someone to rave about new discoveries with. Massive Attack, Portishead, Blur, Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, Bjork, Florence and the Machine, Gaslight Anthem, Cold War Kids. Kanye - yes, I love Kanye as much as Kanye loves Kanye.
Hip hop! The Herd, Urthboy, Hilltop Hoods.
Ah tv series, my hobby and pastime. Netflix, GOT, Walking Dead, all that
gear. My new favourite thing is Crazy Ex-Girfriend, so nuanced. Louie! If you think Louie CK is one the smartest, most insightful minds about, we will well get on.

Books, as a Librarian I constantly have something on the go, favourite authors Irvine Welsh, David Sedaris, Margaret Atwood, John Irving, Toni Morrison, Isabelle Allende, Nick Hornby, Marian Keyes. Favourite books .. tricky.. Lovely Bones, High Fidelity, What I Loved, Lord of the Rings, Poisonwood Bible. The Road. Never Let Me Go. Recently starting reading more non-fiction and biographies, Jon Ronson and Caitlin Moran is my idol! I've recently discovered Richard Yates, he destroys me into tiny, little pieces.

Podcasts, how good are they for doing chores? This Amercican Life, Generation Why, Lore, Serial, Stuff You Should Know.....
The six things I could never do without
Who needs six? That's just greedy

To quote the Hoods:
"The more I want, then the less I'm free
So when I see every thing I got
That's enough for me, that's enough for me, that's enough for me
It's all I need"

At a push:

Music
Wine
Good people
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music, chasing something new. And Yeah Science! That science pretty much determines all that we do and is basically damn awesome. Thank you NPR.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends, if I'm working Saturday probably taking it easy, as it's far too long a day with a hangover. If not working, whatever comes my way. Usually eating something delicious, then heading towards the good music.

*Edit. The above is what I really should be doing. In reality more likely on couch watching Netflix drinking wine, let's be honest.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once stood, and waited, annoyed and impatient for my electric toothbrush to charge. Until it was pointed out to me that I could just use it, you know, like a toothbrush. What annoys me most about this is it that SOMEONE ELSE had to point it out to me. And I have three degrees.
You should message me if
You think we have a few things in common.

I like the idea of someone who also likes the idea of coming home to that someone special... to share a conversation, a meal, a wine, and someone to love.
