My self-summary
I'm on here to see who's around and to get to know people online with no pressure on meeting up. That said, if you're interesting and we might get along then I would certainly like to meet you.

There are so many people we pass on a daily basis during our busy lives but it is rare we get to know any of them, in this way a site such as this opens up those mystery people we are unlikely to meet.

So, to begin...

I frequently day dream but I take that as a positive as it gives me ideas, which I usually write down and try to turn into half-decent fiction. I'm still working on that one though!

I'm sociable and tend to strike up conversations quite easily and try to makes jokes that usually (but not always) get the desired laugh.

I am well trained and have extensive experience in sleep.

I'm not really into sport too much but I love motorcycle racing.

I am a kendoka. Kendo is a japanese martial art which can be translated to 'way of the sword'. I'm a beginner so I'm still learning the basics but kendo is one of the best things I've discovered.

I often do voice overs for animals so they seem personified in humorous ways. It is a hobby not an obsession but it's a fine line I'll admit.

I do play games, I am a bit of a nerd and yeah... I like scifi and anime.
What I’m doing with my life
I've started a new job that I am cultivating into a prospective career. I am very keen to move forward within the company I work for.

Generally though:-

Working, playing, joking, laughing, writing a book (when i'm motivated), eating, learning, sleeping, sitting in coffee shops, socialising, sleeping, playing games, watching anime, watching movies, sleeping.

Student of kendo
I’m really good at
Procrastinating, laughing, making others laugh (it's funny how so many people list this), writing (well... time will tell), used to be a good guitar player but a bit rusty right now so i'm probably a bit sh1t at the moment, remembering film quotes.
The first things people usually notice about me
My beard and glasses? Let me know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
What an open question! Too many to list so you're gonna have to ask specifics if interested. Some examples though...

Books: Snow Crash, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Terry Pratchett, Watchmen, Hush and others.

Movies: Star Wars, Donnie Darko, Big Trouble in little China, Let the right one in, Yojimbo, Zatoichi, Ghost in the Shell, The outlaw Josey Wales, Evil Dead, Bubba Ho Tep, the list goes on but these popped into my head. Horror, sci-fi, action and samurai movies.

Shows: The Wire, Sopranos, Spaced, Black Books, Band of Brothers, Firefly, Family Guy, Farscape, Breaking Bad and more.

Music: Deftones, Soundgarden, Aim, Fugazi, Interpol, Neil Young, Glassjaw, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Herbaliser, Fort Minor, Dilated Peoples, Foals, At the Drive-in, Will Haven, Fingathing and anything you want to suggest to me I will consider.
The six things I could never do without
1.) Friends
2.) Music
3.) Clothes of some sort
4.) Internet (which implies a PC of some sort)
5.) Food & Water (is that 2?)
6.) Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Fiction, stories, what animals would say if they could talk, owning a house, friends, family, pizza, cake, sex, what other people might be thinking, technology, new games, movies, cake, beer, friends, music, cake, what pacman might look like from the front.
On a typical Friday night I am
These days I have mainly been socialising with groups of friends but I often have to get up on saturday to go do some kendo, so nothing too heavy. Mind you, much of the people I do kendo with are those friends!

Either that or pizza with beers/wine/rum and a film at home alone or with friends - you know, the 'civilised' sort of evenings.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Sometimes, (but rarely) I lie to those clip board wielding charity employees that stalk high streets to get rid of them or to deflect their false cheer. I am not proud of this.
You should message me if
You're into anything above, you like coffee shops, enjoy laughing at strange things, are a bit geeky, you like animals, you're into anime, movies, games or interested in the absurd.

Alternatively, message me if you just want to chat about stuff in general. People are fundamentally interesting, even if they don't consider themselves to be so. Sling me a message and say a few things.
