don't live life just halfway.
If you are tired of your present regime,
shouldn't you dare to dream.
If you dreamt it would be nice,
to live on a tropical island paradise,
Then this is a dream I share with you,
but I had the means to make it true.
But New York is still my legal home,
So five months there I will roam.
And I would live there once more,
If I met a woman I could adore.
To me, life is an adventure,
so let's make it a shared venture.
Are you willing to take a chance,
and join me in life's dance?
Cold blackened slush drove me from New York City,
I loved it there, so that's a pity;
but living on a on a tropical island is not so bad,
so I have no reason to be sad.
A land with exotic flowers is where I fled,
this island beauty is widespread.
But the sun, sand, and surf,
are also reasons for my mirth.
An island is surrounded by the Sea,
yet no Mermaids are looking for me.
Life can be perfect, that is true,
that is why I'm here looking for you.
Because we are in different locales,
we must start by being pen pals.
A friendship that we can grow,
will never cause us any woe.
Friendship is a kind of love,
it is a gift from heaven above.
And perhaps it becomes romance,
if we only give it a chance.
The fiery cauldron of love melts ice and snow,
so back to the States I am willing to go.
Back for the one who touches my soul,
the one for whom I will be her beau.
The candle-lit dinner completed, the band begins to play our song. Our fingers touch, and we glide onto the dance floor. I hold you close and whisper sweet nothings into your ear. As the music stops, just standing there, melting into each other's arms, feeling the gentle heartbeat and the softness of your flesh. To walk, arm in arm along a deserted moon-lit beach. Then, as we reached the doorstep of our home, we laugh, jump and play like children. We rush up the stairs leading to an outdoor balcony, where our nest overlooking the moon-lit sea awaits us. And then, and then, oh joy, wonder and delight as we move into the mystery of the night.
My name is Charlie and I'm a really nice, but unconventional, guy who you would enjoy getting to know.
I see myself as being eclectic, faithful, intelligent, a free-spirit yet responsible, honest, affectionate, and playfully cheerful. I have a warped sense of humor and can laugh at myself. I thoroughly enjoy life, and live an easygoing lifestyle. While I am not dogmatically religious, I am very spiritual, and appreciate the beauty and wonder of creation. My puppy-dog will vouch that I am kind, considerate, and friendly.
But the first step to making our dream come true is your contacting me and let me know if you're interested. You don't have to say much, just "Hi" will do. As I will explain in our first messages, I AM EXTREMELY SHY and it is unlikely I will reach out to you.
So once I made my money, I left New York and retired to the Caribbean, looking for the Tropical Island Paradise I had always dreamed about. I went to St Croix in the US Virgin Islands. three years later, having seen and done everything on that small island, I moved to Cabarete in the Dominican Republic.
Like the Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic also has beautiful, uncrowded palm tree laden beaches and crystal clear water for swimming, snorkeling, surfing, and scuba diving. Cabarete is also one of the kiteboarding capitals of the world. However in addition, the Dominican Republic is large enough to have mountains with cascading Whitewater rivers for rafting, and trails alongside for horseback riding and hiking. During the mating season, I can go to Samana Bay and watch Humpback Whales leap and perform their antics vying for the attention of the females. In this way they are not very different from humans.
The living pace is much slower and more relaxed than it is in the States. In the morning before going to a beach, 100 yards from my home, I relax in a hammock cooled by a tropical breeze, and sip a drink as I watch the kites of the kiteboarders float and dance in the clear blue sky. If I don't want to walk to the beach, I dive into my pool, and my housekeeper serves me lunch at noon. After the sunset the beach clubs, in the center of town, pulsate with a hot Latin beat as people dance the night away.
Late-at-night, as I walk on the now deserted beach, I look thru a clear black sky to the countless stars that arc above a moonlit sea. I sit down on the white sand beach and listen to the waves sing their song, as they come crashing into the shore. Then as I gaze at that wondrous sky, a shooting star blazes across the heavens. And with a reverent awe, I think to myself, what a wonderful world, this is truly paradise.
Like Donald Trump,
I love myself,
I think I'm grand.
When I go to the movies,
I hold my hand.
I put my arm around my waist,
and when I get fresh, I slap my face.
My sense of humor which is goofy, and sees the irony in most things.
My cute little puppy dog who is an endless wellspring of love and affection.
Love of all types.
My computer and Internet

A good conversation
You should message me for most any reason you would like (including but not limited to):
You started to read my profile last night, and wanted to thank me for a good night's sleep.
You work for the Hallmark card company, and you would like to offer me a job writing bad poems.
You think I might be an interesting person to know, and maybe establish some type of relation with. Even if only pen-pals. Who knows what will come of it.
Definitely contact me if you think I might find you to be an interesting person, "you think outside the box." I delight in meeting people who are different from me in any aspect. After all, variety is the spice of life.
Thank you for your kind attention in reading all this, I know this profile was too long.
