My self-summary
After two amazing years in Manhattan, I just moved back to Durham to work and enjoy this wonderful area. I'm an upbeat, loving and generous person. I am fit and I work at being healthy and fit so that I can enjoy my old age. I don't look my age. I have many treasured friends, a wonderful daughter and adorable 3 year old granddaughter. I am interested in music, art, theater, film, literature and science. Travel is something I enjoy but I also love just being a homebody. I am not very political but lean leftward when I am. I am not religious but I am deeply spiritual and find the path to this through nature, the world around me. I've had a career that is fulfilling and challenging and have spent much of it serving the medical needs of the elderly and disenfranchised and teaching at Duke. What I have come to understand in the past few years is that I am not meant to be alone, that every experience in life is enriched by the presence of someone with whom it can be shared. I am looking for a best friend, someone to laugh with (very important), who gets me and who is open to beginning a connection with a loving and interesting woman.
