My self-summary
I feel I have a rather creative, interesting life and an amazing community of friends and collaborators around the world. I seek adventurous, compassionate, likeminded souls to synergize our possibilities to create delight and meaning during our precious time on this planet.

LOCATION CLARIFICATION: I'm in Seattle til June 17. Then Portugal for a month directing a show. As a roving artist (I've been called a "monk errant") the main cities I find myself are LA, Seattle, Denver, and, increasingly beginning in September, Kansas City.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a theatre director and tenor by profession and a mystical skeptic/artmonk/gourmand by nature. I love the magical alchemy of expression and connection in various forms: from creating immersive theatre pieces in the Hollywood Hills to liturgical reconstructions in European churches, new religions at Burning Man, and ridiculous rock operas. I lived in Europe (Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome) for 12 years and now I'm back in LA for the last several.

After walking the Caminho Portugese do Santiago in July, I have returned to LA to resume my research into the anthropology of sex and my tantra and physical theatre training, all in order to found a professional "Theater of Love" ensemble (based in LA and KC).. So I'm most curious to meet performers, scientists, and passionate people as fascinated as I am by desire and its power to move the spirit and create harmony, joy, and social change in the world.

Although i have been in a small Polyamory Pod of brilliant people that that inspire me for the last three years, given that everyone now lives in different cities i would say that a more accurated description of my status is "poly solo" (if you can forgive the gag-inducing trendiness of the phrase. If you're nauseated by the very concept of ethical polyamory, however, we probably won't be a match).
That said, I am also open to find a primary partner as well as awesome collaborators in my "Theatre of Love" life mission regardless of a romantic connection. Basically, my heart and mind are open to love, play, and intellectual enquiry. Indeed, I want to be in "right relation" with everyone... to discover that mutually-inspiring sweetspot between us.
I’m really good at
Envisioning the possible... then manifesting it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I soon provoke a sort of cognitive dissonance... that I enjoy.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
for example...
FILM: Pedro Almodovar, Mike Leigh, Woody Allen, Peter Greenaway...
MUSIC: 17thC, Jazz, Opera, Indian, Trippy Lounge, Old School...
VIDEO: "Slings & Arrows," "B. S. Frackin' G," "Vikings"
BOOKS: Salmon Rushdie, Umberto Eco, the "Song of Songs" (and I recently had my mind blown by David Graeber's: "Debt: The First 5000 Years")

really, this could go on for a while...
if you're interested, I'm happy to discuss.
Six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
theatre, music, sexuality, gender, ritual, self-awareness, language, ethics, economics
On a typical Friday night I am
cooking a dinner for friends
rehearsing, performing, or seeing a show
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
While researching a ritual theatre piece in Haiti, I spent a week in a hut being initiated as a voodoo priest. It was an amazing, inspiring experience... but I am not "practicing," so I don't accept requests for torturing exes via little dolls... really a big misunderstanding, BTW
You should message me if
- you are intrigued by what you read above, share my passions, would like inspire and be inspired, and lend your brilliance, wit, and sexiness to a shared effort to make the world a more loving, harmonious place.

- you are powerful, radiant, creative being who knows what you desire and knows your own body and personae and how to use them to manifest your desires... and/or you want to discover or nurture of all of this with a "playful top" like myself (although I quite enjoy intense experiences and love theatrical flair and flexibility, I'm not into anyone's pain... and I don't take take myself so seriously).

- you exemplify and value in others: humor, love, idealism, compassion, wisdom, ethics, and a sharp and open mind.
