My self-summary
I'm putting more effort into looking for someone. I was in a long distance relationship. They are just too difficult.

I'm a father to two wonderful adult daughters. I'm a patient and kind hearted guy, I'm intelligent and mechanically inclined, with a great sense of humor. I love to cook and I'm quite good at it. I like animals. I'm not a big fan of professional sports, but don't mind watching a game with friends now and then. I'm more of a water sport enthusiast, fishing and sailing in particular. I restored a small sail boat a few summers ago. It's a perfect craft for a pleasant day's sail for two.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to make the world a better place than it was when I got here. It looks like I have a few things left to do.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at seeing things from a different perspective. An excellent project planner, I follow through to completion.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've got a full head of hair. It's gray, but it's still there!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm partial to blues music and classic rock. I am an avid reader, I've always got a book on the night stand that is piquing my interest. With regard to movies, I enjoy classic westerns, The Matrix trilogy, Jeremiah Johnson, comedies, documentaries and action movies.

I like most cuisines. I tend to be a meat and potatoes kind of guy, but I do enjoy experimenting with spices and flavors while cooking. I like real food. I rarely eat processed or pre-packaged foods.

My Curiosity
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I don't seem to spend a lot of time thinking about any one thing for very long. It's not ADD, just the way I think I guess.
On a typical Friday night I am
I try to get together with friends to socialize or at home for a quiet night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wrote a poem.

Falling snow sparkles in a beam of sunlight saying,
Come dance in our spotlight.
Trees around a small clearing in the woods sway saying,
Come dance in our spotlight.
Spirits in the sparks of campfires of those that have gone before us beckon saying,
Come dance in our spotlight.
Our loved ones give us their love saying,
Come dance in our spotlight.
You should message me if
You're on the road less traveled. (so we don't crash into each other). Or you want to get to know a peaceful, thoughtful guy for intelligent conversation and shared laughter.

PS: Am I supposed to contact you if I'm interested in you if you viewed my profile? You're more than welcome to send me a message.
