My self-summary
At this point in my life, I feel like I've become a professional student.. And I'm pretty okay with it. Interests include psychology and learning about anything and everything, going to concerts, playing with my puppy Hank, hockey (New Yorker here, don't judge me!), funny movies that I can quote for the next several years, sneakers/shoes in general, pop culture, reading memoirs, spinning classes and yoga. Super close with my family and friends. I think they like me too.
What I’m doing with my life
Reading, writing papers, taking exams.. All the fun things that go along with being a student. I also taught two classes at Temple recently, which was very exciting. Being a puppy mommy. Constantly ordering things online. Procrastinating. Enjoying whatever comes my way.
I’m really good at
I won the 5th grade spelling bee on the word "dilated" and I've been an expert speller ever since.

I'm a good listener. I'm fiercely loyal to those I love. I'm good at planning, schedules, and organizing. But also very good at putting things off until the last possible minute and making messes occasionally. I'm fun to be around.

I also was the captain of the badminton team in high school. I swear.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm pretty tall and have very blue eyes. A lot of people notice my nose ring, which is surprising since its tiny!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Wasted, The Pleasure of My Company, Stiff, anything by Oliver Sacks. I love books relating to everything psychology like Blink. Recently read Tina Fey's and Amy Poehler's books. Must say Tina's was better!

Movies: Black Swan, Me Myself & Irene, Jumanji (childhood classic), A Beautiful Mind, Liar Liar, Clueless, Walk the Line, Revolutionary Road, Baby Mama, The Aviator, Forrest Gump, Girl Interrupted, Boogie Nights, Anchorman

TV Shows: Intervention, Summer Heights High, Friends, Six Feet Under, Girls, Homeland, OITNB, Law & Order SVU (Olivia Benson is my girl), Broad City, Grey's Anatomy, anything medically-related like real-life ER, etc

Music: Guster, Hozier, Florence & The Machine, Kid Cudi, Death Cab for Cutie, Coldplay, Beyonce, Mumford & Sons, Avett Brothers, Robyn, The Lumineers, Grateful Dead, Jason Mraz, Fun, Nicki Minaj, Jay-Z, John Legend, Simon & Garfunkel, Lana Del Ray

Food: Pizza, duh.
Six things I could never do without
I'm not including family and friends (and dog) because those are givens!

-Dunks iced coffee (French vanilla, extra skim, 3 Splenda)
-social interaction
-online shopping
-a freezing cold room to sleep in
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What my life would be like if I were famous.. Or just not in graduate school. What celebrities are like in real life. What I'm doing this weekend. How things are made.
On a typical Friday night I am
The typical answer, of course, is "with friends out and about, or on the couch watching Netflix." Hate to be unoriginal but that is actually true. Lately I've gotten really into going for a long walk on Saturday afternoons with my pup, so usually Friday I stay in and most Saturdays I go out to eat with friends and/or to a new bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love Ke$ha.
You should message me if
You're up for the challenge of actually watching New York sports with me, you have cool friends that we can hang with too, you're close with your family, love dogs, and don't say things like "I'm in the gym every single day and you should be too." If you think any of what I said is interesting (or not, you can tell me, that's cool).
