I take part in an equally varied set of hobbies and interests. Music has been a large part of my life, having played piano, violin, and guitar since childhood, and am a karaoke enthusiast (big plus if you are one too). In college, I competed in ballroom dancing and I can dance everything from salsa, samba, and swing, to waltz, tango, and foxtrot. I used to play in a queens softball league, but have taken a bit of a hiatus (see below). There is more to add here, but I couldn't possibly describe all of my interests, and I'm always finding new interests to explore.
Though I may not seem so, I am an introverted person. I prefer deep consideration to superficial small talk. And while I enjoy my friends and meeting new people, there are very few I've chosen to let into my weird little world. All in all, like many, I both enjoy the night out at the club and the rainy day snuggling up and watching netflix.
- I once overheard Michael Kors refuse Heidi Klum's invitation to dance, so I said "Here Michael, let me show you how it's done" and I waltzed Heidi around the stage for a good 5 minutes.
- I once belonged to a softball team in Queens. The last game I meant to play before moving to Pittsburgh, I broke my humerus while trying to throw a runner out at first after unexpectedly catching a line drive. I now have 2 plates and 20 screws in my right arm
- I once was assigned to a film crew to shoot a group of wanna-be models in a limousine, but I was the sound guy hidden in the back of the limo covered with stuffed animals and I was especially gassy, so I joyfully and anonymously hotboxed the limo for their entire ride home while they were being filmed for national television. Unfortunately, it didn't make the episode
I like all kinds of movies except for horror. My favorite movie of all time is The Matrix
There are some really epic TV series airing now: House of Cards, Sherlock, Orange is the New Black, Game of Thrones. My favorite series right now is Suits though. And I also enjoy New Girl, Grey Anatomy, and the late 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation
This American Life (NPR), Boomer and Carton (ESPN Radio), Delilah (just kidding). Also my favorite news sites are Engadget, NYTimes, Kotaku, Deadspin, and FiveThirtyEight
You like me for me (not because I'm tough like Dirty Harry)
