My self-summary
I try to be happy. Life is what you make it. You can be happy and enjoy the beauty around us. I Love to look at the beautiful blue sky, marshmallow clouds, the green grass, flowers. I love to sit on the porch in my swing and watch the birds. I have bird feeders and hummingbird feeders. I love Christmas...the tree and lights and the Christmas carols-my favorite is Silent Night and Little Drummer Boy. I Love to enjoy the beauty God's given us. I love to see older couples holding hands and when the man opens can see that even though they're in twilight years they still love each other. I enjoy visiting family and friends. Right now I'm in a nursing home, but if I can get some place to do therapy so I can stand and walk, I'm out of here. I have no family here except my son. I like to play cards, Yahtzee, talk, and enjoy life. I don't plan to be here much longer. This is a place I don't wish anyone to have to live in. I came of my own will. I fell and broke two bones in my ankle and had surgery. I came so my son wouldn't have to take care of me. But we both agree to if we had it to do over I would've gone home after surgery. If someone doesn't do therapy soon I'll go home and do my own therapy. I need help to stand till my legs get used to me standing again. UPDATE 9/7/12: as of now i have lost 272 pounds, and my goal is 44 more. When i get 34 more off, the therapy dept. has said they will start working with me to get me standing and walking. My plans right now are to be able to leave the nursing home by spring.

If you're interested in getting to know me, becoming friends, and if things go well then possibly more...then let me hear from you. Looks not's what's in the heart that counts. Hope to meet some good-hearted people.
What I’m doing with my life
At age 16 my parents made me quit school. Said I was needed at home to clean house and take care of my two year old brother. I cried...I loved school, and 8 months later they said I could get married. So 31 years later I took courses and got my G.E.D. My husband wouldn't teach me to drive. After he died, I taught myself to drive. I got my license 3 or 4 months after that. Now I am losing weight. I Have had no weight loss surgery, no expensive diet plans, and no diet pills. Since 2004 I have lost 257 lbs. I have 61 pounds to go. I have more goals yet. I'm thinking about possibly going to college or taking classes online. And I have one big goal. I can tell you if interested.
I’m really good at
My cooking and baking.
The first things people usually notice about me
How much weight I've lost and how young I look. I have been guessed 40's to early 50's.

The six things I could never do without
1. God and the Bible
2. My son
3. I hope I never lose my sight, hearing, and sense of smell
4. Flowers
5. The Love of family & friends
6. My mind
7. Good books and music!

I know, I cheated and put 7 things. Haha!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Improving my body and health. Ways to keep my mind young and to learn more.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably reading, working Sudoku puzzles, word search puzzles or fill-ins. Writing letters or playing games online.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't like being alone. I Loved being married, and I'm lonely but NOT desperate. I would certainly enjoy a good companion...someone to go through life share and care, the good times and the bad. Having true love is the most happy and fulfilling life.
You should message me if
You're a kind-hearted person, who maybe is lonely and would like a new friend. You never know what may come of it, but I would hope to find someone to make the days brighter and look forward to talking to, and whatever will be will be. I prefer a non-smoker, non-heavy drinker. I look forward to meeting friendly people of good character, who want a good friend and maybe more! Thank you for making it this far, hope to hear from you...
