My self-summary
My name is Nathan. I'm a big guy, both in height and in personality. I love hanging out with friends, but I also like staying in and watching a movie or reading a book, or playing some game or another.

I've got a deep voice and a ready smile, and I'd like to get to know you better. Let me know if you feel the same.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working as a cashier, and spending a couple of days a month as a weekend line cook for various 4H camps in Mass.
I'm planning several trips in the upcoming year or so, including a trip to Europe and several trips across the US. :)
I’m really good at
I like puzzles and riddles and other such brain workouts, and I like sharing them with people. I've got a lot of 'useless' knowledge, so I'm really good at crossword puzzles.
Philosophy (amateur only, unfortunately), theology, politics, economics, and other long, strange-sounding words. I've got a good deal of experience with them, so I can hold my own in most discussions about it.

Reading. I love to read, and I read as often as I can. I can usually get through a novel in two days or so, less if I give up such luxuries as sleep, eating, and seeing the sun.

I'm a better-than-average typist, and can type so fast you won't even care what I'm saying here.

What I'm most good at, though, is listening when someone has something to say, being a sympathetic shoulder. I've been through a lot, so I can usually empathize with what people are going through.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. I am almost always smiling, because I like to keep a positive attitude. Also, if my smile convinces even one person to smile back, then I've brightened someone's day, and that alone is worth it.

Apparently, I've got a voice that would be really good for either radio announcement or phone sex hotlines. At least, that's what I'm told.
I don't know whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Food: I like just about every kind of food I've ever had. I like breads and pastas over other carbs and starches, and I really like meat.
I've also been known to go to some pretty extreme lengths for something sweet and fruit-related, and don't usually pass up the chance to try new offerings from the fruit family.

I'll try anything once, even if just to say I don't like it.
The six things I could never do without
My Family

Modern Conveniences

I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think a lot about weird things, such as who's job it is to clean all those windows in the church, or how do they know how many dots to put into the ceiling tiles, or other things such as that.

I think about various and sundry topics, and I'm always interested in more food for thought, for if you don't feed your mind, just like your body it will shrivel and die.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends, going to the movies, or even just sitting around talking. Possibly drinking, but not always.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sometimes need a vigorous application of the cluebat in order for something to sink in. Otherwise, I'm liable to continue digging myself deeper into a hole.
I'm working on it, though. :P
You should message me if
If you're tired of all those guys who just want to get in your pants, if you're really starved for some conversation meant to stimulate you mentally as opposed to physically, if ur tird of internt spech lik dis, lol.
If any or all of those sound good to you, drop me a line. Because I'm just as tired of it, and I can't wait to hear from you.
Also, if you managed to get this far, good job. You're almost definitely the kind of person I want to talk to. :D
