My self-summary
I finally got around to changing my user name, since New2Denver a) no longer applied considering I have been in Colorado for over 11 years now (most recently from Northern California) and b) it wasn't very creative.

I am in a polyamorous relationship with a fabulous woman. Her OKCupid screen name is Oskarblu27. If this "lifestyle" (as they say) is not your cup of tea, I understand.

I am here looking for a relationship but am also open to new friends. This site seems to attract a quirkier population (like me). I am not a big fan of the poly term "secondary" because it implies a rigid hierarchy...but that being said I do have a primary relationship. This doesn't mean I will treat you as second best. I am a romantic at heart and proud of it.

I have a lot of hobbies and interests. Most recently I have been training for my first Sprint Triathlon. It has been quite the experience so far and can't wait for race day! Wish me luck. I hope to keep up the exercising after the event and may look to get into more biking. When I am not training I love to travel and will find any excuse to do so (both domestically and internationally). I also love music, especially going to see/hear live music. This was the first year in many that I had to miss UMS and I was bummed. For creative hobbies I paint murals, make metal jewelry/chainmail and sort of play guitar lol. I also LOVE sports and poker. Oh yeah, and like many Coloradans I do enjoy the outdoors...camping, hiking, etc.

My sense of humor tends to be on the dry and sarcastic side, though usually not caustic or mean spirited. I am honest, open and willing to share more about myself.

About you: You are intelligent and have a great sense of humor. Obviously you need to be ok with my relationship status. I am not looking to replace my gf. I am looking for an additional meaningful relationship. You enjoy a day of sitting in the sun watching baseball, followed by a night of fine dining and romance. You like to experiment and try new things. And most of all you appreciate me and what I have to offer.

(Bonus points if you enjoy watching sports and going to games)

p.s. The screen name is because I tend to drop things a lot but I usually catch them before they hit the ground...usually.
What I’m doing with my life
Enjoying every moment of it. I spent a lot of my life trying to figure out what I wanted to do when I grow up. I thought I had to have my dream job to be fulfilled. I came to the conclusion, that while I generally enjoy my job, I would rather work to live than live for work. It was a liberating realization. On a side note, I would like to volunteer more. Maybe you can help me with this?
I’m really good at
Lots of things. Making people laugh is perhaps the most important. Oh yeah, and I am also really good at tying a maraschino cherry stem in a knot using just my tongue. I am also getting pretty darn good at cooking.
The first things people usually notice about me
My bald/shaved dome...and my devilish grin.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have never been a fan of picking "a favorite."

Some of the books I really like are Geek Love, Lullaby, Lamb (essentially anything by Christopher Moore), Game of Thrones, Among The Thugs, most things by Bill Bryson. I am also an avid comic collector (yes, I have a definite geeky side to me).

In terms of movies my tastes are pretty varied. When put on the spot I usually say The Usual Suspects is my favorite. I have some guilty pleasures like National Treasure (popcorn flick) and The American President (sappy romance). Ironically I tend to not like Michael Douglas but I love Wonder Boys (the book as well).

Music is another area in which I have a wide range of tastes. I love almost everything the Foo Fighters have ever put out. Other bands I can think of at the moment are: Guster, The Jayhawks, Fitz And The Tantrums, The New Pornographers (thanks Elissa lol), Brandi Carlile, Panic At The Disco and Two Door Cinema Club to name a few. I have an soft spot for musicals and cheesy yacht rock. Music is an important part of my life.

Foods: that's a tough one. I like a huge variety of foods and somehow at the same time can be a pretty picky eater. Some of the highlights include Italian, Indian, Mediterranean, Thai, Chinese, Ethiopian, Mexican (miss California Mexican) and Sushi. Oh yeah...nothin' wrong with good old American grub too.
Six things I could never do without
Is there anything that we really could not do without? At least in a material sense. Don't get me wrong, I am a bit of a material junkie (iPod, TV, digital camera, guitars, car, motorcycle, blah, blah, blah) but as much as I enjoy those I could live without them. I guess the things I could never do without a family and friends (as cliche as that may sound).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next trip. I don't like to sit still for long. I've also wondered if I could make it as a professional poker player, and if I could...would it suck the joy out of the game.
On a typical Friday night I am
Funny how this changes/evolves over time. My Fridays no longer seem to be typical. Some days we are out with friends. Some days we stay in on the couch. Depending on the time of year I could be at a Nuggets or Rockies game, or I could be out listening to live music. Typical is boring.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I will share anything. You just have to ask. Just be careful what you ask.
You should message me if
Any of the above sounds interesting to you.
