My self-summary
Exploring the technicolor depths of the Great Barrier Reef ... Dodging night-time motorists in South Asian back-alley markets... Or trekking across the wind swept ridges of Patagonia. I enjoy exploring the wilds of this world, few that they are. This year I’ve got my sights on Iceland and Nepal.
What I’m doing with my life
After living in California, New York City, and Budapest, I’m now loving Amsterdam. By day I lead a team that explores the impact of emerging technologies. Basically, we get to play with new “toys.” It is a great job. I keep my eye on the prize… which is financial and geographic independence. Maybe even having the chance to make the world a slightly better place. Or at least not blowing anything up :-)

Outside of the office, I can be found hitting the slopes on my snowboard, perfecting my downward dog, or catching up on philosophy with my nose deep in a good book. Just don't ask me to do all three at once.
I’m really good at
Eating my vegetables. Especially when they're cooked alongside my signature smoked salmon.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything from Guns, Germs, and Steel to Slaughterhouse Five- I like books about society that get me thinking. Movies like No Country For Old Men or The Life Aquatic. As for music, I enjoy everything from house and funk to The XX and Bonobo.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family and friends, because what’s more important?
2. Treating people right
3. Art that makes you think
4. Music you can feel
5. Mediterranean food
6. Now taking applications ;-)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Deep space. The enormity of the universe, and how incredible it all is. And you know, the best way to cook broccolini... of course.
On a typical Friday night I am
Typical? What’s typical? I could be hiking somewhere remote, putting in a few extra hours at work to get a project done, or out sampling new places with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m sentimental… but shhh, don’t tell anyone.
You should message me if
You’re someone with an equal mix of adventurousness, curiosity, and integrity. You understand the importance of collecting moments, not things. And you recognize that life is an awesome gift, and with the right companion (and maybe a sunset on a deserted beach, mojitos in hand…), it can be even better.
