I'm an eternal student, a gamer, a nerd, a trance music addict, a classical music lover, a metalhead, a natural redhead, a sarcastic goofball, a homebody who loves to travel, a lover of nature, a trivia junkie and a movie buff. I'm someone who likes to leave the world a better place than when I entered it.
I like to think of myself as being a nice, easygoing and sweet person, but I'm not afraid to speak my mind and stand up for myself when I need to. I can be quiet and shy when I first meet someone, but I open up quickly once we start talking. I'm very slow to anger and I prefer to solve my problems by talking them out rather than fighting. I love to laugh and have fun, but I do become serious when the time is right.
I'm currently looking for someone nice to spend time with who is somewhat similar to me, but different enough to keep things interesting. I hate drama, playing games and all of those horror stories guys tell about bizarre or irrational women. Instead, I value an honest and kind person with depth. While I am eventually looking for a long-term relationship, it would be silly to stay focused only on that and miss out on friendships with other people.
I'd eventually like to go back to school for my masters and hopefully go into the field of forensic science.
If you want to go by physical traits, I'd say my soft blue eyes are pretty special.
For books, I tend to read fantasy, history, science, and so on. I'm currently reading the manga of Ajin, a history of Japan and a lore book for a tabletop game. Some of my favorite things to read are the classics. I'm a Shakespeare nut, and I love folklore and mythology.
I'm all over the map on movies and TV. I tend towards movies or shows that have depth, but everyone likes a good mindless flick on occasion. Most of the stuff I watch is sci-fi/fantasy, historical fiction, foreign/independent, or whatever catches my eye. I do have a weakness for old and silent movies, too!
Music is huge for me, but I really listen to almost anything. Lately I've been listening to Japanese metal, particularly Nagoya kei, but I'll try anything once. I'm not so big on country, though.
Like most things, what food I eat really depends on my mood. I enjoy a lot of different cooking styles, and I'm working on being more adventurous after a childhood spent afraid to try new things. I have a lot of time to make up for!
What self-respecting gamer wouldn't mention the games they enjoy?
In terms of video games, I tend towards RPGs, and anything with a good story will catch my interest. A straight hack'n'slash is always good for stress relief, though! I've been playing Elder Scrolls Online lately while I wait for No Man's Sky.
Right now I'm playing D&D and World of Darkness. I'm also working on starting my first campaign, which will be using Legend of the Five Rings.
Board gaming-wise, I love games that are more strategic and cooperative. Some of my favorites are Sentinels of the Multiverse, Arkham Horror, or Marvel Legendary. There's also something to be said for simpler games like Exploding Kittens or Cards Against Humanity.
1. Good friends and family
2. Computer with internet and lots of games
3. Lots and lots of books
5. Learning new things
6. Good music
I've been told I'm an INFJ in the Myers-Briggs personality scale, so my internal thought processes tend to be far richer than most suspect.
This is going to be changing in a couple weeks, when I start Saturday morning Japanese language classes in Philadelphia. I'll most likely be spending my Friday nights getting rest and chilling at home.
I also like to collect refrigerator magnets from places I've been to. I'm almost out of space! Suppose I should get a new fridge.
