My self-summary
I'm a very, very boring person. You don't want to get to know me. Really you don't. Your brain would liquefy from boredom and drip out your nose, making the sort of horrible mess that I have always refused to clean up since it's not MY brain.

While I'm a semi-compulsive liar, I'll usually tell the truth just because it amuses me. And you probably won't like it.

Besides... I'm asexual, just came here for the quizzes, and only hang around to chat with people when I'm bored. If I'm not bored, I won't talk to you.

Sorry to you people who don't deserve the ignoring.

[Pronouns: anything from they to xe, but never ever he or she.]
What I’m doing with my life
Reading. Writing. Learning. Singing, sometimes. You can even listen, if you want to.
I’m really good at
Socratic irony. Understatement.
The first things people usually notice about me
Um. My extremely unattractive expression, maybe? (It doesn't change. It just sits there on my face, glaring at people.) The book I usually have in front of my grumpy face? My inability to hold up my end of a polite conversation? The fact that I never wear shoes? No, that one usually takes them a while....
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I've loved pretty much every science fiction or fantasy book I've ever read. Poetry, philosophy, and horror are pretty good, too. I like Eoin Colfer, Terry Pratchett, Andre Norton, C.S. Lewis, Tamora Pierce, Diana Wynne Jones, Patricia C. Wrede, Ambrose Bierce, Diane Duane... forget it, I could be here all night. The names just don't stop.

I don't watch a lot of movies. I liked the new Star Trek movie, specifically the fact that they finally figured out that there is no up or down in space, a Star Trek flaw that has bothered me for years. Thor was pretty good. So was Avengers. Ah, comic book movies. Fun.

Doctor Who, Star Trek.

I have extremely eclectic tastes in music. I like stuff from Vivaldi to Voltaire, Beethoven to Beastie Boys, Tchaikovsky to Tarja Turunen, with plenty of anime soundtracks in between. Recently, lots of Vitas. Someone also sent me a link to an Alice Cooper song which they said had obviously been written for me. I don't generally like that kind of smoke-burned voice, but the song was unexpectedly good anyway. I was flattered.

I eat to live. I do love fish, though.
The six things I could never do without
I'm assuming this is meant in more a psychological sense than a physical one. Well, let's see.

・ Books
・ Solitude
・ Intelligent conversation
・ Long walks
・ My vade mecums
・ Privacy
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Psychology, the development of human personality (specifically mine), free will, morality, whether I'm more unfettered or blue and orange, the nature of truth....
No, seriously.
I also think about candy, music, and live dissection. You have been warned.
On a typical Friday night I am
Doing the same things I do every other night of the week, and avoiding doing the same things I've been avoiding doing every other night of the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I joined OkCupid for the quizzes (which I still like).

I filled out my profile because the site kept annoying me about it.

I answer match questions because I'm interested in the personality profile that results.

I occasionally talk to people online because I benefit from exposure to different mental patterns... and at the very least, it reminds me why I avoid talking to people in real life.

I am not a centuries-old vampire.
You should message me if
You shouldn't, really.
