My self-summary
Been back in Boise for about a year after over a decade in Austin, Chicago, and undergrad in Ohio. Currently in grad school for marriage and family counseling and eventually want to do sex therapy. Working part time in a book store. I DJ (aka make spontaneous playlists while people dance) occasionally at the Neurolux.

I romanticize the lives in Bruce Springsteen songs and Richard Russo novels.

I'm an INFJ if you're in to that sort of thing. (Heavy emphasis on the introvert part. It doesn't mean I'm not fun and can't be outgoing but rather I recharge my batteries with my alone time. In recent relationships I've noticed I try to be a pleaser when it comes to spending lots of time together but if I don't get to disappear a bit, it will most definitely catch up to me. For more information on interacting with introverts (complete with pictures):

I've been told if I were a super hero I'd be Captain America.

My name means Noble. What does yours mean?
(I don't really read into the above line...just fun to think about).
What I’m doing with my life
Grad school, becoming a sexpert, playing pinball, repeat.
I’m really good at
Irish exits
Putting together Ikea furniture.
Talking about sexuality (surprisingly making the effort is half the's amazing how we're conditioned to be terrible at talking about sex)
The first things people usually notice about me
People say my teeth. I sort of have fangs.

I'm tallish, so maybe that.

And my sweet sweet rack.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything sad and beautiful

Here's a few:

Books: Grapes of Wrath, Blood Meridian, Sex Outside the Lines (if you have an interest in human sexuality and sociology, I HIGHLY recommend this book), How Soon is Never, Unbearable Lightness of Being, They Shoot Horses Don't They?, Philosophy and Bruce Springsteen. I work in a bookstore. This list is long.

Comics: Currently reading Saga, Sex Criminals, Trees, Southern Bastards, Ms Marvel, God Hates Astronauts, Bitch Planet, Snot Girl

Movies: Sunshine, Breathless, Rushmore, What We Do In the Shadows, Jurassic Park, Like Crazy, Casablanca, Shame, They Shoot Horses Don't They?, The Misfits, Badlands, Adventureland, Warrior (and Warriors)...lots more. I also have a thing for tough-guy, blue collar, inspirational tear-jerkers (ie Rocky, Warrior, 8 Mile)...bros cry too.

Music: Bruce, Frightened Rabbit, The Replacements, Gaslight Anthem, Hold Steady, The Lucky Soul, Sam Cooke, still true blue for The Ataris...lots more. Been listening to my dance faves a lot lately to get my DJ chops back. I mostly just play fun singalong songs. (I wish I could add They Shoot Horses Don't They? but I never really got into that band)

TV: Fargo, Rick and Morty, Cosmos, Broad City, GoT, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Wire, Kids in the Hall, Friday Night Lights, Veep, Silicon Valley, early Simpsons...and probably lots more of these too.

Podcasts: Doug Loves Movies, How Did This Get Made, You Made it Weird, Dumb People Town, Savage Love, Sex Nerd Sandra, Carnalcopia, HoundTall, Fantasy Focus Football (I know, I know), Cracked, etc.
Six things I could never do without
Bruce Springsteen
Denver Broncos
All my favorite books, movies, music and video games
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What responsibility do we have to life when we have such a short time compared to the rest of existence...that and the etymology of the word pajamas.
On a typical Friday night I am
Staying in with books, movies, and messing with my DJ jams. Or out at a brewpub and playing pinball.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
If Lisa Simpson were real and an actual age, I'd totally have a crush on her.

I also have a Star Wars're only 22 once, right?

I never learned how to swim.

I used to donate sperm.
You should message me if
We have a good match score. One downside of Boise is meeting people on here with this criteria is no longer easy to come by.

I should note here that I've been dating non-monogamously for the past year and it's worked very well for me. It keeps communication very open and up front which I appreciate. I'd rather have a difficult conversation than play games or shy away from honesty. Regardless, I'd like to find substance and connections with whomever I spend time with, no matter how involved it may be. If this jives with you...then message away :)
