My self-summary
My name is Rob. I am awesome.
What? Too vague?
Okay, I guess I'll tell you a little more. I live in beautiful Marin county but work full time in San Francisco and am hoping to move there in the not too distant future before the commute kills me. I work as an IT manager for a cool company with people I love to make my money and feed my belly, and work as an actor as often as I can to feed my soul. I love animals and tend to form instant bonds with dogs, whom I generally would rather be around than most people. I'm a huge sports fan (other than basketball) and go to a ton of Giants games (work 2 blocks from the ballpark so it's convenient) and Niners games (season ticket holder.)
I live alone and love my independence, but the solitude gets old after awhile. When I'm busy with work and acting projects, etc., it's not so bad, but when I'm between things... well, it's boring and it sucks.
Boy, I hate writing these things.
If you want to know more about me, you should just ask. I'm pretty open.
What I’m doing with my life
A few years ago, I was full steam ahead as an actor, moved to LA, got a full time job that kept me from my passion, wound up getting a pretty nasty back injury on the job (after a major electric shock didn't do the trick of getting me to quit first) and kinda knocked me on my ass for awhile. Long story short, I wound up being in daily pain, in a wrongful termination lawsuit with a multinational corporation with an army of lawyers, had to move back with my dad, and decide whether I was going to let it beat me and walk with a limp for the rest of my life, or to pick myself up, dust myself off, and get back to life. It was kind of my trial by fire, and while I would never repeat it, I'm a better person for it. Now I have a job that I love and challenges me every day and encourages me to chase my passions for the stage. Life is pretty good.
I’m really good at
Trivia night. Bring that shit on.
Shakespeare. Bring that shit on.

Vocal projection.

The first things people usually notice about me
I have no idea, you tell me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I'll read most anything happily. Except anything from L. Ron. Hubbard. If you are a Scientologist, you should probably avoid me, as I could never really respect anyone who would subscribe to something written by such a terribly hackneyed writer.
Movies: Depends on my mood, and there are waaaaay too many to name.
Music: Anything but pop of any genre.
Food: Gimme a nice steak and I'll be a happy boy.
Six things I could never do without
Complete works of William Shakespeare, my full iTunes collection, dogs, my friends, sweet delicious chronic, and my family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where my life is going. My career(s). My family and my friends. Wondering where all these morons came from (shit there's a ton of them!).. oh, and sex. I think about that a lot, too.
On a typical Friday night I am
Performing, rehearsing, or wishing I was rehearsing or performing and looking for something to do.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Depends on who's asking.
You should message me if
You are awesome, too.
