I am polyamorus, and I live at home with my wife Katybelleou812 and seven month old son. It seems important to say that early on. We just moved here from Denver, where I have lived my entire life. I don't know anybody down here outside of my wife's circle, so I'm on OKC looking for new connections - both romantic and platonic.
I don't believe in settling down just because I'm expected to. I don't smoke (anything) but I drink like a fish. Whether I'm hitting the town, crashing a house party, or just holing up for the night with friends, I'm always looking for the best night possible.
I'm loud, usually the loudest in the room, but I don't hog the spotlight. I love going tit for tat with people, and I'm great at making the whole room laugh. I'm usually the life of the party, but sometimes I'm just up for hiding in a dark corner and talking about neat shit.
I can be intense, but people who know me well are always quick to reassure strangers that I'm kindhearted. My opinions and ideas mean a lot to me, enough that I have been known to shout them from the rooftops (or, more commonly, at people). I am a feminist, and a straight-ally, and I have little patience for anyone who has a hard time with equality.
I'm a musician, but I haven't recorded or performed anything in months - had a terrible band break-up. I write poetry, fiction, and long-winded blog rants, and recently broke 12,000 words on my novel - which I'm pretty proud of so far.
I love learning about new people, it's the writer in me. Discovering the unique quirks about a person, learning why the do the things they do, it's one of my favorite things. I'm looking for someone who I click with, who I can sit down with and talk and rant and debate until we can't keep our eyes open anymore.
I'm always looking for excuses to dress up, to go out and flirt. I love getting to know someone for the first time, learning about their history, dreams, and desires.
I want to meet someone I'm going to enjoy being around, because I've always believed that new experience is food for the soul.
I rarely dislike a movie, and will give anything I haven't seen a watch. I will say that horror is by and far my favorite genre - of any medium. Always has been, since I was a toddler watching Hellraiser and Freddy when my parents weren't looking. I will say that I'm a sucker for found-footage movies, I will watch ANYTHING in that style, and I don't know why.
As for music, it just needs to fit my groove, though I tend to lean towards electronic and dance. I was raised on metal, but I love country, disco, pop; name a genre and it's probably represented on my playlist. I'm a freak for music, and I'm always looking for new ear candy.
If you can't tell, I'm not picky about anything, I love keeping my palate broad.
3. Strangers who make sense to me
4. My loved ones
5. Stories (be they movies, books, or anecdotes from friends)
Even if you can't think of anything to say, just say 'hi.' We can find something to talk about.
