My self-summary
Sarcasm. I seem to be giving people the impression I am depressed or otherwise unhappy. I actually find my life, including the sad pathetic bits, extremely funny. If you think its inappropriate to laugh at a story of a drunkin bike ride into a blackberry bush hehe ha ha ha ha ahhh... yeah, what was I talking about?
What I’m doing with my life
Writing up for a masters project that was supposed to be done last year. River rafting that is only increasing the time to completion of the masters. Of course when I say writing I mean slowly grinding my soul away. If you don't believe see photo above, yeah I used to be happy.

Masters done. Now I await judgment.

Got myself a Teaching credential and have now moved to the East bay and have been forgetting this site.
Now teaching over in the Pinole Valley. Still trying to convince teenagers that education is worthwhile and Biology is fascinating or even interesting. Who am I kidding I would settle for getting them to sit still and acknowledge my existence.
I’m really good at
Apparently nothing with any value as I have no wealth.
The first things people usually notice about me
I don't think people notice that much about me, I am both quiet and mellow. I think I am better at second impressions... which of course sucks for dating.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Not sure I have favorite books, I read 'cause I want to know something (usually about physics or political science) or for entertainment (usually sci-fi or fantasy) in the first case there is no favorite just what I wanted to know and in the second all I'm concerned about is whether or not I just passed an hour by and very few books are incapable of that

Science: A tear at the edge of creation
Politics: Anything Noam Chomsky,
Addiction and ADD: Gabor Maté

I like most movies/tv but if you can't handle continues remarks you won't like watching them with me. Mystery science theater 3000, 'nuff said. Reality TV seems like a waste with so much reality readily available.

Hip Hop is all I buy these days but I do enjoy most types of music, blues, blue grass, folk, the chieftains oh and The Buena Vista Club. Hip-Hop: Anticon, Hieroglyphics, Living Legends, Fat Jon, Ultramagnetic MCs, Sole, Alias, Boggie Monsters...

All Food is Good. Mexican Food is especially good.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The running mechanics of New Zealand sea lions.

Not really thinking about sea lions anymore and more about how I can get kids to sit still and pay attention long enough for anything I say to sink in.

Second year of teaching, now they will generally sit still but still struggling with how I am supposed to teach kids the abstract concepts of biology when many of them are incapable of abstraction. Secondly trying to raise their interest in the complex intricacies of biology while they try and navigate the complex and new world of high school, emotional relationships not to mention the reality of an economically terrorizing job market working its "magic" on their parents or support systems. "Oh but really Biology is really important..."
On a typical Friday night I am
Recently a typical Friday involves trying to come up with good reasons not to sit at home and drinking beers and recording my buddies educational songs.

Atypically I find myself ten feet from the Kings River beer in hand pontificating (see photo, unfortunately I had to return the suit to my cousin).

Starting to broaden my local favorites here in Oakland, finding some good spots. Mainly restaurants but the occasional bar.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Some people don't think a ice skating dress is a onesie... I strongly disagree.
You should message me if
Live in the area and enjoy Beer or tea/coffee and have an enjoyment of sarcasm.
