My self-summary
I'm a realist, and yet I love the fantasy realm. Once the second weekend of July hits, I get excited for the start of the Sterling Renaissance Festival. So excited, in fact, that I have a whole outfit dedicated to the event. There are pictures on here to prove that. ;-P

I enjoy both playing and watching videogames. Sometimes I like to watch more than play because I get to sit back and immerse myself in the story.

Besides dressing up for events, I love to travel, experience new types of food, drive, read fantasy novels, and collect/learn how to use weaponry. I have had training in traditional Japanese karate and weapons. Because of my background, I love watching MMA. My favorite fighter is GSP because he's an amazing fighter, he's humble, and he seems like a genuinely good guy.

I also have a huge heart for animals. I have had cats in the past, but my true love is for my adorable husky, Lakota. There's nothing quite like coming home everyday to a dog who is over the moon that you're back.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently in a program to become a Physician Assistant (PA). They were kind enough (hmmmm... maybe not the most appropriate phrase) to allow us a summer off between our classroom years. Come September, it's nose to the grindstone for T minus 20 months until I get that long white coat! Hello, lack of social life!
I’m really good at
Procrastination. I've always found I produce the best under pressure, but the stress is almost unbearable. I just can't sit down and research/finish a paper three weeks before it's due. Then I start to second guess my approach to the assignment too much.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes. I get asked a lot if I'm wearing color contacts, but it's very hard to get a sky blue color if your eyes aren't already that color.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Anita Blake Series, Lord of the Rings, The Warded Man, Desert Spear, War of the Spider Queen Series, The Picture of Dorian Grey, A Discovery of Witches, and Game of Thrones (which I'm currently working on) are the ones that currently come to mind.

Movies: I am a HUGE movie lover. Some of my favorites are The Crow, Highlander, Iron Giant, Taken, Gladiator, Memento, Se7en, Shawshank Redemption, Green Mile, Catch Me if You Can, Inception, Shaun of the Dead, X-Men: First Class, Spirited Away, Princess Bride, Equilibrium, Gone in 60 Seconds, The Italian Job, all Pixar movies, and a million others.

TV: The only ones that matter are Sherlock, Doctor Who, Supernatural, and Big Bang Theory. I do watch a ton of shows, though.

Music: Maroon 5, Don Omar, Imperative Reaction, Apocalyptica, Daft Punk, Dropkick Murphy's, Eminem, My Darkest Days, Pendulum, Red Hot Chili Peppers, 3OH!3, OneRepublic etc. My music tastes are all over the board.

Food: I'll try just about anything. But some of my favorites are rare steaks, matza ball soup, grilled wild salmon, and anything having to do with pasta or mushrooms.
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order...

-My Friends
-Renaissance Festivals
-Pumpkin Pie
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next place I want to travel to. So far I have only been to Canada and England, but I plan on seeing France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Greece, Japan, Egypt, etc. I have a lot to see.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hosting a game night at my place.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I get freaked out when I play Silent Hill or Resident Evil games alone.

I also listen to "Eye of the Tiger" before every test I take. Thank you, Supernatural.
You should message me if
You're looking for friendship and don't mind that I'm very open about everything. And liking videogames and movies are a HUGE plus.

On another note, I don't think it's so intimidating to message me. Just do better that a simple "Hi" or "Hello" and such and actually find something to connect with me on.

And being called the Doctor and owning a tardis doesn't hurt, either! :-)
