My self-summary
Thanks for reading. I'm a New Mexican transplanted to the bay area, so of course I spend as much time as I can on the water and exploring. I'm a big supporter of equality, and I'd love to listen to your ideas about any number of social, political, or cultural topics. I've spent plenty of time getting to know who I am and what I value in life, so now I'm looking to get to know someone to see if we have what it takes to adventure together and potentially make something more lasting.
What I’m doing with my life
I have a pretty specialized technology job (that I'm pretty good at), so de-stressing is really important to me. I spend my weekends sailing or working on photography projects. I also get to spend a couple of evenings a week hanging out with a pretty cool 7 year old while my friend works, so I'm an expert at admiring rocks and intelligent conversation :)
I’m really good at
Making tacos and listening...not necessarily in that order.
The first things people usually notice about me
The Viking-esque beard.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My taste in music is pretty eclectic, from Sara Bareilles to Pink Martini to DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince to classical to classic country.

I love Aaron Sorkin’s work – The West Wing is a masterpiece, though I love some of his less-popular shows more. Current favorites: Person of Interest, Revenge, Satisfaction, New Girl, and So You Think You Can Dance :)

I enjoy reading Milan Kundera, Steven King, Star Trek novels, philosophy, biographies (I'm a HUGE JFK fan...I have parts of his speeches memorized), and have a robust audible account.

I'll eat almost anything wrapped in a tortilla. I’m also on a quest to find the perfect sandwich… but alas, the search goes on…
Six things I could never do without
Music and the ability to discover it, a little bit of peace and quiet, travel, interesting conversation, and shared experiences with the people I care about.

I'm not sure that's technically six, but...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
small and big adventures.

And having someone to adventure with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Going to a movie at a local theater, taking my time with friends at a great restaurant, or getting ready to set sail on the Bay.

I also like a good night in watching something or reading a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
(I love Reading Rainbow...is there anyone who doesn't?)

I tend to attract strange experiences when I travel. Remind me to tell you about my photography venture in Nevada...think glaciers and really bad cell service.
You should message me if
You like any of the following: eclectic forms of dancing, hushed art museums, hiking, ballet, photography, beards, Korean BBQ, international escapades, politics, dry humor, drier wine, or sailing…

If you'd like me to make you some really amazing New Mexican food (red chile enchiladas!)...

Let's grab a cup of coffee and chat to see if there's something worth pursuing between us.

*I just got back from a day anchored out on the bay with swimming, cooking, sun bathing, beer, and listening to the water... If that sounds like your kind of day, I am your guy!
The two of us
