My self-summary
So who am I? Someone who likes the simple things in life, like cliches, nachos, ferry boats and listing things I like.
I love meeting funky people especially the ones who blatantly lie about their past lives or wild exploits.
I’m really good at
Opening pickle jars and getting things from tall shelves. Don't act like you're not impressed!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
--For books, I'd say Italo Calvino, Hunter S. Thompson, James Thurber, Jeffrey Steingarten, David Sedaris and so on. There's also a soft part in my heart for speculative fiction and cyber or steam punk.

--For movies, anything with scientific/philosophical underpinnings that I can get all pseudointellectual about. Or with punching and explosions.

--I don't have a TV but love watching Cops, Antique Roadshow and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia at friends' places.

--for music, really anything with musical virtuosity: zydeco, ambient doom metal, New Wave, 8-bit, industrial, you name it
Six things I could never do without
Any and all sensory delights.
Wikipedia: I spend far too much time on it.
Beer: As Benjamin Franklin put it, beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
L'heur bleu: I love that time right before sunrise and right after sunset when the world is painted in shades of blue. Also, the word crepuscular always had a nice ring to it.
Meat: Self evident
My bed: ditto
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Adventures I want to go on, evolutionary theory, and natural wonders.
I also love pharmacology: did you know that Ropinirole, used to treat restless legs syndrome can inadvertently cause hypersexuality, hallucinations, and compulsive gambling? Best side effects ever!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
That I don't randomly publish my secrets. I do however, readily divulge them when asked in person.
You should message me if
You have a few quirks or take an irrational interest in something out of the ordinary. I like a mind that can move against the grain.
