My self-summary
I don't see why online dating shouldn't be a viable way to meet people...

I am an old-school gentleman, which seems to be an anachronism these days.

My friends describe me as patient, unflappable and gentlemanly.

I'm emotionally and financially stable and in great health.

I am also characterized as naive...because in spite of demonstrations to the contrary, I treat people as honest and trustworthy until they prove otherwise

Respect and honesty are the foundations of any relationship, and they must be firmly in place for a relationship to grow. I can't imagine anyone disagreeing with this, but I know that words are cheap and profiles are full of lofty platitudes. I would like the opportunity to prove these words, starting with a face-to-face conversation over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.

If a casual, candid and frank conversation appeals to you, and the rest of my profile is acceptable, please let me know.
