My self-summary
I'm a southern born, suburban raised, progressive computer programmer. I like working with computers, but it doesn't define me. I don't have a fear of public speaking because I've made an ass of myself enough to know that it's not that bad, and even better when you do it on purpose. Which is how I ended up doing improv theater and comedy writing. It's important to me to have creative outlets and if not for comedy I would surely be working on some other project. I'm easily classified as a geek because I like board games, video games, and Sci-fi. I'm a nerd because I like learning about history, science, and maps. (I really like maps). And I'm a dork because I like making Dad jokes and putting myself in awkward conversations. I'm easy to make laugh, hard to make cry, and harder to offend. I would consider myself an anti-anti-intellectual. I love both trees and urban density. I believe in spending money on experiences over things.
What I’m doing with my life
I make cherries and stars dance on screens so grandmas and bachelor parties give me money. I live in the city and love it. Aside from my job I would walk or bike everywhere. I'm proud to finally know where all the places mentioned in Ludacris songs are.
I’m really good at
I was pretty much a lego master as a kid, so putting together Ikea furniture is fun.
I need to get on "Wait wait don't tell me" so I can crush it.
Thinking of better ways to say things after I've already said them, which is why I write now.
The first things people usually notice about me
The best compliment I've received is that I'm very genuine.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love John Hughes movies like Ferris Bueller's day off, Vacation, and Planes Trains and Automobiles. Since I grew up mostly in the 90's I have a special place in my heart for Jurassic Park and Office space. I'm a Star Wars man first, but have no hate for Star Trek.
Also, in MST3K style, I'm into anything that's so bad it's good.

I like to make a lot of themed playlists. Some of my favorite genres are Punk Rock, Dixieland Jazz, and Bossa Nova, and Hip-hop. I'm open to new music.

Grilled cheese sandwiches and soda made with real sugar are my comfort foods. Also mac and cheese. Anything with cheese really.
The six things I could never do without
-Netflix. I have a cable box that came with my internet. I've never used it.
-Pizza. Every food group in one meal. It is the perfect food.
-Converse All-stars. Always have a pair on hand. They go with anything.
-Youtube, AKA video instruction manual for anything.
-Traveling. Walk a mile in someone else's shoes. Sleep a night in someone else's bed. Poop on someone else's toilet.
-Nice sheets, because a comfortable bed is heaven.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How the older I get the less time a year seems like.
Where and when the next great adventure is.
Will I live long enough to put my brain in a robot body?
On a typical Friday night I am
This is a trick question. Friday is never typical.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was a super band geek in high school. I played trombone.
