My self-summary
I've had other profiles on here before, with previous names relating to names. (blue_route was from a Walkmen song and "Map Ref"45N_122W was loosly based on a Wire song.) PDX_Serenade is a take on a Gun Club song (Texas Serenade). Interesting, no? Howdy. Let me see here...

I work full-time at a local grocery chain and have been for the past five years. I quite like my job, they treat me well enough, I get benefits and free food... I cant really bitch.
I am fairly active... I ride my bike year round, rain or shine. I have been really proactive on staying in shape after losing 70 pounds. If I'm not on a bike, I'm on foot... I'll try and avoid public transit if I can help it, not to say I won't ride a bus... I'd rather just burn calories than to listen to crying children more than likely.
I live on my own, quite like it, I really enjoy me time... I did have someone who didn't want to date me due to not owning my own house... Sorry about that. I like my place just fine, thank you.
I quite enjoy coffee, and on occasion imbibe on booze... Though due to my weight loss, my tolerance is WAY low... at times embarrassingly so. With that said, I really try to behave myself...
What I’m doing with my life
Working, bicycle riding, spending time with friends... Seems I've not be so creative lately... I really need to get back at it...

There is some of the shit I do.
I’m really good at
Listening, cooking on the fly, not putting up with bullshit and returning the favor.
The first things people usually notice about me
Mostly my hair... sideburns.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This list is ever changing. As far as books go, the latest books I've read that I enjoyed were The Dog Stars by Peter Heller, Crash and Burn by Artie Lange, The New York Trilogy from Paul Auster. I can say that I like Murakami, Bukowski or Palaniuk but everyone does, so after awhile, who cares. I'm a huge fan of Perfume by Patrick Suskind. Honestly, I like to think I'm fairly well-read... I'm just not a pompous dick about it.

I really do enjoy "all kinds" of music, but to list everything is dull ultimately. So, I'll just list what albums I've had on heavy rotation in the past month Trail of the Century by French Kicks, Fire by Electric Six, Reign in Blood by Slayer, Sound Affects by The Jam... and for some reason, I've been listening to Sisters of Mercy, This Mortal Coil and Christian Death lately... I guess I'm moody. James Blake's Overgrown album is amazing!
Six things I could never do without
I use to be pragmatic with this list, but I'll just mention those super obvious things

1. Phone
2. Your easy demeanor
3. Wide bike lanes
4. Long conversations that don't involve me talking about my family
5. This shot of whiskey at the moment.
6. Friends who get me
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Extreme personalities...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Admittedly, I'd like to think I was some profound man with a wearhouse of ideas... I'm just a average dude with low expectations and a fondness for dick/fart jokes. Also, I've been told I'm very black and white on issues; that's true... I do not do well with vague.

I'd like to surround myself with more positivity... Apparently that can be too much to ask at times.

Recently my mother had passed away, so lately that's been something that has been heavy... probably too private, but it something that does effect me from time to time. Truth be told, I miss the hell out of the old lady...
You should message me if
You should have a drink with me... Yeah you! It would be nice to have people not constantly flake on me as well... Perhaps I'm asking too much.

Also, looking for a date for the Hillstomp show later this month... My pal throws a good show. Actually, a coffee date sound most appealing at the moment.
