My self-summary
I am a driven young professional who loves to live life to the fullest. I whole heartedly believe in the saying, "work hard, play hard." That's not to say that I am a party animal but rather I mean that as much as I am dedicated to my work I am also committed to enjoying a balanced life. I have lived in DC for a little over two years now after moving from Chicago. I'd say that that I have enjoyed living here due to the many unique opportunities that living in a city such as DC affords its residents.

In my free time I love to cook and entertain my friends and family. Many of whom think that I should leave my current line of work and open a restaurant. (This will not be happening any time soon.)

I love to travel, whether it is a more local vacation to Cape Cod as I did this past fall or international travel such as my vacation to Rome and other parts of Italy, I am always content to hop on a plane and visit a great destination. As much as I love being out and about, I also enjoy quiet time at home whether it is reading a great book, watching political news, a great show on TV, or listening to music, there is something about returning home after a long day that is relaxing.

I'm an ENFJ if you are into that.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in customer relationship management, and yes I realize that is a buzzword heavy field. I really enjoy my work even if it does capitalize a large portion of my time. The most enjoyable part of my work is that no two days are the same, so it keeps things interesting.
I’m really good at
As I already said in the about me section, I am an excellent cook and can cook everything from southern comfort food to South East Asian ethnic food. I am a great listener and my friends know that if they ever need to talk I am always there for them.
The first things people usually notice about me
I am a people person and have an outgoing personality.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Brothers Karamazov, The Great Gatsby, War and Peace, The Harry Potter Books, Aristotle's Metaphysics, The Nicomachean Ethics. (I know the latter two are pretty nerdy but what can I say I loved being a philosophy major in undergrad.)

Movies: I'm not a huge movie person. That's not to say that given the right motivation I don't enjoy going to the movies it just means I don't have a laundry list of favorites.

Music: I like everything from classical to rap except for country music. Lately I have been listening to a lot of Imagine Dragons and other indie and alternative music.

Food: This is a hard one because I like everything from haute cuisine to everyday things. I love to cook as well as go out to eat with friends. I'd say that some of my favorite foods are Asian although French and Italian foods are also up there among the favorites. I'm also just as content with items that would be found on the children's menu of American restaurants, think chicken tenders, burgers, pizza, grilled cheese.
Six things I could never do without
Friends and family, which are givens, aside I would say:

1) My iPhone
2) A good book
3) Hot water
4) Strong coffee
5) Good wine
6) My zipcard (I am a zipcar addict)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, primarily where my professional and personal lives are going and how I can attain my goals.
On a typical Friday night I am
It really depends on the week. I'm just as happy staying in with friends and hanging out as I am hitting the bars with them. From time to time, I also enjoy a quiet night in with a good book or a movie and a glass (or two) of wine.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Why admit anything here, we will need something to talk and or laugh about on a date.
You should message me if
Not if, just do it. I'm a genuinely nice guy and am more likely to jump into a conversation and reply to a message than I am to initiate the first message.
