My self-summary
I'm a Sunday school teacher, CFO, Braves fan, world traveler, bowler, trivia freak, golfer, straight shooter, and amateur chef.
What I’m doing with my life
I think most people would list stuff they do at work. That's not really what I'm doing with my life.

I'm at games
I'm at restaurants
I'm at the lake
I'm with friends
I'm on trips with family
I'm enjoying being an uncle
I'm yelling at my teams on the TV
I'm writing for a blog
I'm teaching at church
I'm trying to excel

That's what I'm doing with my life.
I’m really good at
Cooking, making intelligent commentary during sporting events, predicting the weather, listening, telling stories, telling jokes, backrubs, knowing the rules of football and why the flag was thrown, video games, fixing your computer, Excel, tax accounting, dancing like the whitest man alive, making people feel special when they talk, caddying, golfing, writing, making the perfect cup of coffee, effectively navigating foreign countries, doing math in my head, knowing whether or not that makes you look fat, picking out the right investment, picking out the perfect wine for the occasion, getting all dressed up, making plans, hanging out, and making flannel pants look sexy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I've probably made a joke and they are either laughing or trying to decide who is responsible for letting me out in public.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read quite a bit, but it varies. Just finished a book on the Kennedy Assassination by Stephen King.

TV - College sports, the Braves, NFL, Food Network, Travel Channel, Adult Swim, HGTV, Animal Planet (Too Cute), ESPN, Comedy Central, Discovery, and TNT.

Movies - I tend to like action or comedy. And sometimes really bad/stupid movies. Some favs would be Jaws, Indiana Jones, Bourne series, anything with spies, The Departed, Major League, anything by Mel Brooks, anything with Bill Murray, Father of the Bride, Princess Bride, anything with Harrison Ford, Fight Club, and Star Wars stuff.

Music - All rock before 2000. Some rock after 2000 but not much. I enjoy really good rap/hip-hop, but I hate pop garbage. Country is starting to all blend together. I blame the American Idolization of music for that. Basically, you have to work for it to find stuff that's good now, and that's a shame. Unless you're into Taylor Swift because she's everywhere. I mostly listen to sports talk radio at work.

I'm not a picky eater, but I tend to like meat. If you're not into meat? It probably won't work.
The six things I could never do without
Air Conditioning
Good sleep
Close friends with generous spirits
Good Books
My car since I travel a ton
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why flying sucks. There's no reason it has to be this awful. Also I'm usually planning my next trip or cool restaurant I want to try.
On a typical Friday night I am
Sitting at the lake house, watching the Braves, listening to the tree frogs sing me to sleep.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I write short fiction in the hopes I'll get published some day.
You should message me if
Do you like sports? Do you like to volunteer? Will you be honest if I have something in my teeth?

If so you're a cool person and we can hang out.
