There are so many things in my life that bring me great happiness. I am blessed enough to be able to work my dream job as a haberdasher at a highly respected store in down town Hartford. It brings together both my love for fashion and meeting new people. I respect what the corporate world has to offer and realized early on that cubicle life just isn't for me.
At the end of the day though, when I come home, and kick off my heels, there's nothing like throwing on jeans and a tee shirt and going out with my pup Paisley. Sometimes we head back down town if there is a lot going on, or sometimes we head to Blue Back Square and meander about. We would like the company of someone to enjoy our evening walks, even if it is just around the neighborhood.
When it is time to get down to business, and by that I mean dinner time, I love to cook. Cooking to me is never a chore, especially when I get to share my creations. Since I am an avid gardner it is even more fun to be able to use the veggies and herbs that come from my own back yard. It is a common occurrence for my friends who stop by my house at dinner time to find me gleefully bouncing around my kitchen, from refrigerator to pantry while listen to some groovy tunes. I find that music gives me great inspiration. Sometimes it's jazz or blue grass or 90's on 9 or old school hip hop and r&b and most recently down tempo.
It would be nice to meet someone that would like to come over and enjoy a beverage and a great conversation while I make a tasty meal. Though someone who enjoys helping clean up would be nice too! ;)
Even though my "dancing till the break of dawn" days are over, I do enjoy a late night on the town every now and again. With the nice weather comes dining on the patio and more places to see live music.
If you were to ask my dog this question, she would say I am good at giving kick ass belly rubs/scratches.
As for tv, well I don't have cable, so thats kind of out.
And the music, oh the music. Here is a list of artists that I rarely ever skip Tool, Radiohead, Wu-Tang, Led Zeppelin, Bonobo, Outkast, Adele, Beethoven and the list goes on and on and on...
When it comes to movies, well, I just don't think there is enough room here. It would be easier if I told you what I don't like. My first options are rarely romance, especially sappy girly romance. ick. And you will never catch me watching a gory horror film. No way, no how. I saw the Ring in the theaters and didn't sleep for weeks. Other than that everything else is fair game.
