My self-summary
In Wellington starting May 12. As I moved here from France on a whim, I'm mostly looking for people to chill, play board games and drink beer with. Also, a place to stay, maybe.

I'm an ever so slight deviation. I dislike people as a whole. I love individuals. I like mangas, Harry Potter and other fantasy/scifi/pop-y. I like Proust, Gide, the Brontë sisters and Borges. I like Satoshi Kon, Mamoru Oshii, Jan Svankmajer and Rohmer, Tarkovski, Welles, Kurosawa, Eustache. I like Rothko and Ingres, Pokemon and The Binding of Isaac. I like numbing my mind with the help of the Internet. I like sharpening my mind with the help of the Internet. I like creating bits of film. I like writing bits of stories.

I love talking about what I like.
What I’m doing with my life
Always trying to stay one step ahead of boredom. Enjoying pretty and interesting things.
I’m really good at
Getting excited. Finding new and interesting ways to burn through time. Not giving a fuck. Giving too much of a fuck. Imagining things. Persuading myself I have some horrendous disease. Giving insightful advice. Eating sweets. Playing games. Taking pictures of one of my friends. Ignoring people.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm very tall. VERY tall.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
MUSIC

I listen to a lot of stuff. And I'm always looking for new sounds to listen to. Well, when I'm not too fucking bothered by my tinnitus.

I've recently become interested in jazz, particularly the bebop kinda thingie.

MOVIES

Lots and lots. I'll only mention my two all time favorites Velvet Goldmine and La Collectionneuse. And Stalker. And Cabaret Le Père Noël a les yeux bleus Groundhog Day Interview with the Vampire Mulholland Drive Rocky Rashomon Starship Troopers OKOK I STOP IT

BOOKS

Lists are tedious. I mostly read exhilirating fiction, which ranges from masterfully designed short stories (Borges and Roald Dahl come to mind) to young adult literature (you know, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, whatever), with a good mind for the 19th and early 20th century (Proust ♥). Currently alterning between biographies and fantasy. I finished a Guy Debord bio, and now am attacking The First Law trilogy by J. Abercrombie.

SHOWS

I really watch a lot of shows. If you watch it, chances are I watch it too. Or watched it, then stopped because it sucked. Used to watch lots of anime stuff, too (like, everything up to 2006). And the new Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series is FUCKING AWESOME!

FOOD

Everything that's strange and delightful.

VIDEO GAMES

Are also very important to me. Pokemon will always have a place in my heart. As will the Final Fantasy and Zelda saga. But recently I'm more into the indie scene, even if I mostly play indie blockbusters. Limbo, Super Meat Boy, all that good stuff. Oh, and Portal. Best narration ever. I've also been playing Path of Exile on and off since the closed beta and I have way too much knowledge of this game in regard to my pitiful characters and gear. I've burned like 1000 hours on Binding of Isaac (Vanilla + erbirth + Afterbirth). Hearthstone when I don't get utterly frustrated by it. And some Darkest Dungeon too.
The six things I could never do without
Mostly, I only need something to get excited about.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Death. I'M SO GOTH OMG §§§!!1

Really : whatever is my current obsession. It may be a certain band, a video game, a new hardware piece, whatever.
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no way to answer with some original witticism to this inane question.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a fervent believer in the power of masturbation.
