My self-summary
Playing music in front of thousands, dance solos in front of 100s, attempting to surf some pretty gnarly waves... I've done a lot in my life, but my greatest achievement is making someone laugh with one word...Pineapples. That’s right, pineapples.

They say in the world there are bakers and there are cooks; I’m definitely a cook. In the kitchen I fly by pure feel coaxing the aroma of garlic and spices from the dishes I cook. Sometimes the gamble pays off and it’s better than Mama’s home cooking, but I’ve also made my fair share of calls for take out. Maybe someday I'll make you some of my beer can chicken, and if you can bake you can help me make my pumpkin and raisinet cookies without blowing up another egg beater (yes, that really happened).

The people around me are absolutely important to me. If you’re a friend you’re family, and if you’re family you are my world. It may be naive, but I’m there for those I love because they would do the same for me.
What I’m doing with my life
The 9-5 has me working in Silicon Valley (WHOA...bet you never heard that one before, haha). It's certainly a work to live situation, but my favorite perk of the job is nerding out over all the craziest ideas Silicon Valley is coming up with and there’s quite a bit of travel which is pretty cool.

It's a fun job, but what I want to do is make people's lives better. What I'm working towards is channeling either of my passions of music or fitness and throw engineering into the mix. So I guess that means you’re talking to the inventor of the musical kettle bell...or something?

A few years back I made the conscious decision to better myself physically, mentally and spiritually. At the end of the day I like to unwind hitting the gym. Anything that gets me moving and my heart going is golden; lately I’ve been active with Crossfit/powerlifting (apparently I’m contractually obligated to tell you, haha) or getting together with my hip hop dance friends and learning new routines.

The weekend calls for exploration of the city or day trips down the coast. I’d like someday to be able to know exactly where “the best” of anything is in the city and at this point I’m pretty sure I know where the best Old Fashioned and dumplings are. As much as I am out and about I’m not opposed to a day off, just kicking back and relaxing bingeing shows. Currently working on Frasier.
I’m really good at
There's quite a bit that I'm really good at, but the highlights are:
I can recite all 50 states in a half second.
I have also been known to rock the crap out of a suit.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, anything by Shel Silverstein, Resilience, 4 hour work week, Calvin and Hobbes...

Music: currently rocking 60s/70s soul and funk
The six things I could never do without
The feeling of music vibrating through my bones at a concert

The silence of the moment just before stomping a jump in fresh snow

The excitement of getting off the plane somewhere new.

Getting together with friends and/or family over dinner and telling stories.

A fresh cup of coffee sweet and creamy, mmm mm!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I recently learned how to ride a bike... I'm still pretty bad it, haha.
You should message me if
I'm looking to share my life with someone who is present. Open and adventurous. A caring soul. She’s creative, funny, speaks her mind, but also sees the world for how complex it is. Love of sports and live music is a plus, but not necessary. She’s happy hiking Mt. Tam or riding Heavenly as she is done up for drinks at the Top of the Mark or chill for night curled up on the couch.

So, if you feel this sounds like you say hi...and tell me what makes you smile without fail.
