My self-summary
Love to laugh, love to travel, love to hang out with friends and is way too fun to sit still or settle for less!! I'm outgoing and energetic, spontaneous and smart. I love an adventure and often invent them just to have one! I am crazy sarcastic and dauntingly kids wear flack jackets at home in order to survive the wit.
What I’m doing with my life
Thinking about how to make the most out of every day! I get to the gym, teach singing, enjoy cooking, watch British detective shows and try to find a good wine. Time with family and friends is precious to me, and I make sure to find it. At mid-life, it's time to put quality first in all things.
I’m really good at
Making any situation fun... really, ANY situation. Any topic is interesting to me (except gun control -- just kidding, yes it is). Challenge me to find a good restaurant or the best recipe for ginger snaps -- I'm all over it. While it's hard for me to watch action movies (i'll do it for a reward...), I love the sappy British movies where the guys wear puffy shirts. Give me a good Scrabble game any evening, as long as there is plenty of Cabernet Sauvignon on hand.
The first things people usually notice about me
I hate camping. Yes, it's true, that always comes up first. And I have a smile on my face all day every day -- it's hard to find me down and out. No one is a stranger, because I can make small talk with a lamp post -- got that from my dad. And I could sell freezers to the Aleuts (Eskimo is not a PC term anymore, right?).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm crazy for British drama TV and period movies. Current faves are Downton Abbey, Sherlock Holmes, Island at War, and Doc Martin. Books -- who has time anymore? I used to love to read historical fiction... now I am one.
The six things I could never do without
A Horizon
My sister
The Telephone in any form
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I wonder if I am making the most of my life... there are so many great things to enjoy -- am I missing anything?
On a typical Friday night I am
Trying to figure out better answers to these questions....
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Hmmmmmmmm.... that's a tough one. Is that private enough?
